Who we are
B*CURED’s mission is to END BRAIN CANCER by funding innovative research grants across the globe. In 2016, brain cancer has replaced leukemia as the number one cancer related death among one-19 year olds. Every hour, 22 people will be diagnosed with a brain tumor.
And research is sorely underfunded. To date, B*CURED has awarded 27 grants to investigators searching for a cure for brain cancer at nationally ranked universities and hospitals.
B*CURED is 501 (c) 3 organization, founded in 2008 by Debbie Needle and Melissa Salamé in Greenwich, CT. B*CURED is run by co-presidents Karena Bailey and Kristin Duda. All money raised goes directly to brain cancer research.
