The Operations Coordinator is responsible for truckload routing of transportation needs between plants, and from plants to customers.

Salary Based on Experience

Essential Job Functions

Utilize network balance capacity tools to determine the location of trucks and available customer loads; tailor planning to meet area needs. Understand daily capacity needs/opportunities and pro-actively communicate to appropriate leadership
Know and understand the intricacies of the operational market assigned; plan for acceptance of loads. Utilize Network Decision Support tools to assign loads to trucks (Omnitracs, PC Miler, Samsara); ensure customers' service requirements are met
Responsible for the booking of loads, the successful dispatch of planned loads and subsequent ownership of loads for assigned area
Communicate late pickups and/or deliveries, as well as any other load changes, to appropriate department personnel
Communicate professionally, effectively, and timely with both internal and external customers/contacts
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations
Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of job experience in a similar role
2 years of logistics/dispatching experience in a transportation environment required
In-depth knowledge of DOT hours of service and DOT safety regulations
Requires thorough knowledge of the freight industry, including LTL, T/L, parcel, and expedited shipments
Fluent with the operation of a TMS system and other company software is a plus
Excellent Computer Skills including proficiency in MS Office
Ability to plan, think ahead, and prepare action plans to achieve results
Requires creative problem-solving skills and strong analytical abilities
Requires strong interpersonal, facilitation, and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
