She moved to Florida while completing her program and completed her externship at a site near her new home. She has passed her CPC exam AND was offered a full-time position with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Another thing I would like to recognize Anna for is that she accomplished all of this while adding a new family member to her beautiful family! Congratulations Anna. JOB DUTIES:

· Data entry, which includes posting of charges, payments and setting up patient accounts.

· Verify insurance coverage and benefits.

· Research and resolve insurance denials with appeals and communicate with physicians regarding this process.

· Provide billing customer service - Assist patients with account inquiries

· Monthly follow up on patient balances and collections calls.

· Research and request refunds.

· Credentialing and Contracting of providers with various Insurances.

· Applications submitted on or before April 14th ensure commencement information is sent directly to the student & guarantee the following:

1. Eligibility for 2021 commencement book inclusion

2. Applications for these students will be evaluated for completion and applicable awards posted to their MHCC transcript by August 11th

3. Diplomas for completed credentials applied for by these students will be mailed on August 11th



· Students who submit their application after April 14th:

1. Are not directly sent commencement information but may access the information online: https://mhcc.edu/Graduation/

2. Will not be included in the Commencement Ceremony Book

Contract-to-hire Pre Biller role that is 100% on site in NE Portland. Looking for some exposure to claims, medical terminology and healthcare industry, but looking for minimal experience generally.

The Pre-Billing Representative performs billing and support functions and is an integral part of the revenue cycle process.

Job Duties

Accurately enter encounter forms per department standards.
Follow charge entry guidelines by payer type and billing area.
Verify insurance via system, website, or phone
Review and mail all paper claims for Medi-Cal, PPO, WC and insured services.
Adjust non-collectible charges
Prepare billing documents for mailing- medical records
Communicate any discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
Balance and close all batches.
Clear multiple WQs, claim edits, clearinghouse and payor rejections and registration denials
Charge corrections and invoice adjustments
Bill vision claims via website
Review all account registration demos
Communicate any payer address and payor ID updates
Verify authorization via payor portals
Perform other duties as assigned
