Fitness Fridays with Ms. Gantt's PE class. She sent out a text and a few accepted the workout challenge. Mrs. Rogers, Mrs. Wells, Mrs. Williams, and Ms. Weser all joined in the live workout with the PE class. Mr. Killips even joined in. 😀

Our science teachers got a visit from Mrs. Killips and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers today. Learning all about a great upcoming event for the science kids.

Fun filled day at CVA. The AP 3D students came in for some hot glue sculpture work and the teachers celebrated birthdays and a football tailgate style lunch.

Congratulations to Aidan Rolle on his award recognition from Big Futures. Aidan was awarded the National African American Recognition Award and the National Rural and Small Town Recognition Award sponsored by Big Futures/College Board. This award recognizes students with a GPA higher than 3.7, passing scores of 3 or higher on multiple AP exams, and students in the top 10% in the state for their PSAT scores. Way to go Aidan!

Congratulations to CVA Artist Tyana Dammann for being selected to showcase her artwork at the Art Tasting at the Pinnacle Club. Ty sold two artworks and was commissioned for another piece during the show. Congratulations Ty.

Picture day for 6th- 11th graders is Tuesday August 6th. Drop by CVA between 8am-3pm to have your school photo taken. If you are a Senior- please contact Carter Koenig for your Senior portraits.

Thank you CVA students, parents, and staff for a wonderful open house last night. We are so excited for the new school year at CVA.

CVA's third year is in the books! We would like to congratulate our principal Dr. Benton Willis Cunningham for being appointed as the new Assistant Superintendent for Lincoln County School System. We are saddened to see her leave, but excited for her new adventure. We know she will do great things in Lincoln County.
