After escaping an ICE detention center at the U.S. border, seventeen-year-old Marisol agrees to participate in a medical experiment in an attempt to keep her and her sister from being deported to El Salvador. She’s asked to become a grief keeper, taking the grief of another into her own body to save a life. She just never imagined one of the risks would be falling in love, a love that may even be powerful enough to finally help her face her own crushing grief. The Grief Keeper is a tender tale that explores the heartbreak and consequences of when both love and human beings are branded illegal. (Description from publisher.)

All That Consumes Us will pull readers into a hypnotizing, dark reverie that blurs the lines of reality and shows that the addictive nature of ambition—and its inevitable price—always claims its due.” (Barnes and Noble description) This gothic dark academia story centers on first generation student Tara being admitted to Magni Viri. All seems grand- except her dreams have become dark and her writing darker still. What secrets does Magni Viri hold and will they drag Tara into the void of nightmares?
July is Disability Pride month; to honor that, we are showcasing YA books with disability representation shown in their characters. This month is not just about acknowledging the challenges individuals with disabilities face, but also about highlighting their abilities, talents, and the importance of inclusivity and accessibility in all aspects of life. It's a call to break down barriers, advocate for equal rights, and promote a society where everyone, regardless of ability, can thrive and contribute.
