The East Central Health District has been on the Opioid Task Force in Augusta for some time now to help keep our community safe. One of our own now heads that force, and the district has plans to put a task force in each of our 13 counties. Check out the video below to see how we work with Richmond County (as a starting point!) to take a strong stand against opioids and keep our families safe.
CSRA sees high overdose numbers, low long-term resources The opioid crisis is a growing issue for CSRA families. From Georgia to South Carolina, nearly 200 people have died this year from overdoses in Aiken and Richmond counties.
