We are beyond grateful to Lisbel Almanzar, who brightened our day with an incredible donation of school supplies for our foster children. From vibrant notebooks to beautiful lunch boxes, Lisbel’s generosity is truly inspiring.

Lisbel shared that she and her mother wanted to give back, and their kindness will make a big difference as the school year begins. This act of giving is even more special knowing Lisbel is also working hard to further her education. We wish her all the success in her journey ahead!

We’re thrilled to give a big shout-out to All Saints' Episcopal Church of Glen Rock, NJ, and especially to their incredible Administrator, Christine McGoey, for their amazing generosity! They’ve collected stunning backpacks, notebooks, binders, and so much more for Bergen County CASA.

As we’ve been distributing backpacks to our foster families over the past few weeks, our supplies have been rapidly dwindling, so this donation couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s truly a much-needed boost for our organization.

A special thank you goes to Dana McDonough, who has been a steadfast supporter of Bergen County CASA. Dana, who interned with us a few summers ago, continues to lead this vital drive every year, ensuring our foster families have what they need for back-to-school season.

What an easy way to help Bergen CASA! Gather all your clothes you don't wish to keep and head over to Midland Park Community Thrift Shop! Donors are asked to name an organization they wish to benefit from the sale of their items, and each item is tagged with that organization’s identifying number. Bergen County CASA is number 33!!! Please give them our name and tell them number 33 when you donate!

Cooking classes with our foster youth!!
Sending all our thanks to College - Hackensack (shout out to Tom Eastwick and Ayblash George) for letting us use the college kitchen this past Wednesday.
Rob Thorne from DCP&P showed us how to make three different yummy pasta dishes: Macaroni Cheese, Pasta Primavera, and Pasta Bolognese.
We learned that all the dishes could be made with either frozen or dried ingredients (except for milk) – so there is no need to shop for fresh ingredients to make a tasty dinner at short notice. The cooks did a terrific job and did not shy away from testing different seasonings and flavors in their pasta dishes. The garlic bread was a delicious addition as well!
Again, thank you to everyone who participated for making this a lot of fun and very educational too!
