Some have asked if they could donate items for bingo auction, like sporting event tix or gear (and an LV scarf I believe ❤️).

And since this is a fundraiser, the item or basket should be worth at least $50 (retail).

Our 2nd Annual Bingo Night is just two months away!! Last year’s bingo raised enough money to provide scholarships to women seeking recovery, provided holiday meals and gifts to over 100 women, funded our Career Day and helped to fund our Hygeine Drive! Today we held a Career Workshop at Danny's House!! The goal was to provide the residents with interview tips such as how to dress, how to prepare, and even how to do your hair and make-up. We brought an entire carload of professional attire and accessories for the women to ramp up their interview & work wardrobes. We also brought make-up artist, Lorraine Parker, who gave make-up tips and did a few makeovers. What an amazing day!!

It is one year today that we lost our beautiful girl. It has not gotten any easier. It always came naturally to Allie to help and support others, even in her darkest times. Through this, we carry on and continue her work in supporting women who seek a life of recovery. For all those we’ve helped, we have been helped as well. The foundation has given us a purpose to keep going and to keep Allie’s spirit alive. She will always be at the forefront of everything we do. We ask that you think of her often, talk about her, share funny stories about her, and most importantly be inspired by her. 💕 Thank you to all who have surrounded us with your love and support this past year.

And the fact that they wanted their picture(s) taken, they wanted to post their good fortune, they wanted to share their appreciation with everyone, is an example pure gratitude.

Because of you, these ladies will be able to stay focused on their recovery and have the means to save some money for a few months. Money that will help their families, and enable them to put something aside for when they are ready to move on from sober living.

This gift of hygiene products lightens the burden of the rising cost of everyday things we all need (and buy and think nothing of).

And if you think that what we are doing is not important, tonight I had the honor of meeting a woman who was just released from jail for drug related charges. She has nothing of her own. Until now. Now she has much more than nothing. Now she has one less thing to worry about.

Collectively, WE are assisting these women, WE are actively involved in service, WE are all part of this foundation. Collectively WE provided necessities for 51 residents.

From EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US, we humbly thank you.

Family Fun Night with Danny's House 1/27/24

What a FANTASTIC season this has been!!

The Foundation elves took on the job of leading, organizing, shopping & delivering gifts for the children of residents at Joy of Living (and a little something for the Moms, too).

And that’s not all. All the ladies of Penn Street House received new pajamas— and what a nice visit we had there.

In total, ADF provided gifts for 21 children, and 35 women…

All this was possible because of our WONDERFUL DONORS!! Every time we asked, there was help. Whether it’s donations from a previous fundraising activity or people just coming out of the woodwork to give us money to purchase these gifts— we’re overjoyed!!

On a personal note, our foundation members are Allie’s friends and family. To say that ADF has given us all a way to move beyond loss and grief, if only for a moment, is an understatement. We are grateful more than you know.

So from all of us, have a joyous holiday !!
