🌈 THANK YOU! 🌈

Hagerstown Pride 2024 was an incredible success, and we couldn’t have done it without all of you! We’re so excited for the new and long-time friends we made.

A huge shoutout to our amazing volunteers, vendors, sponsors, entertainers, local authorities, supporters, fundraisers, donators, and especially the community for making this event possible.

Thank you to the city for their protection. Thank you for the support of the events leading up to Pride, and to our dedicated board members for their meticulous preparation. It’s an amazing thing to know an all-volunteer board can make magic with the help of the community!

Together, we stood united and made memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for your unwavering support and for helping us celebrate love and diversity.

We would appreciate tagging us and using the hashtag on your posts, so we can gather an archive of the events!

📢 Attention Hagerstown Pride Attendees! 📢
📢 Know Before You Go! 📢

As we gear up for the big day, we want to remind everyone of the important Washington County Parks and Recreation rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Check out the photo for the key rules, and for more detailed information,
visit: Washington County Parks & Recreations Policies at https://www.washco-md.net/public-works/parks-and-recreation/policies/

Don’t forget about your four legged friends. We encourage all patrons to use extra caution if bringing your dogs due to high heat, humidity and even though Doubs Woods Park is shaded for the most part, paws can easily be burned. Park policies require all dogs to be in a leash. Park Policies will also be posted momentarily. Know before you go! 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ 📢

It's still hot out there. Don't forget about your four-legged loves 🐶🐱

On Tuesday, June 18th, Mayor Tekesha Martinez and the City Council proudly presented the 2024 Proclamation for Pride at City Hall to three of our dedicated board members. We encourage everyone to focus on the positive messages of support for our youth and those who may be struggling. Let’s uplift each other by sharing the affirming comments and celebrating this important moment together

Credit The City of Hagerstown - Municipal
“Mayor Tekesha Martinez proclaims and recognize June 2024 as Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Q***r, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) Pride Month & June 28th as Pride Day in Hagerstown, Maryland. I encourage those in our city to eliminate prejudice everywhere it exists and to celebrate the great diversity of the American people.

Accepting the proclamation is Hagerstown Hopes Vice President Asher Kennedy and board members Grace Cook-McGowen, and Chase Cattrall.

Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Q***r, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) Pride Month is a month-long annual observance of le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, and q***r history, and the history of gay rights and related civil rights movements; and,

LGBTQIA+ Pride Month originated in the United States and was first celebrated in 1994; and,

according to the Library of Congress, the purpose of the commemorative month is to recognize the impact that LGBTQIA+ individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally; and,

celebrations such as parades, parties, rallies, marches, picnics, workshops, symposia and concerts will attract millions of participants from around the world.”
