This weekend, Bruckner's expansive 'Romantic' Symphony will transport listeners on a magnificent journey through the Austrian countryside. The 'Romantic' subtitle attached to Bruckner's Fourth Symphony, the only one of his nine with a subtitle, does not refer to romantic love. Instead, it evokes themes of medieval Romanticism, immersing you in an epic musical quest reminiscent of a hunt through the countryside. Bruckner's prominent use of the horns vividly brings these themes to life. This is a concert you don't want to miss!
