Harbor Springs Food Pantry
Non profit organization providing food to the food insecure once a week.
It is located in the lower level of Holy Childhood Church Community Center and is accessible from the parking lot on West Third Street. Clients select food products from the pantry store where volunteers shop for the client and take the food to the clients automobile.
Harbor Market is hosting a Can Drive for the Harbor Springs Community Food Pantry TODAY from 10am - 2pm. Come on down and donate to help feed the food insecure.
Please be aware that the Area Schools are closed today. Therefore, the Harbor Springs Community Food Pantry will be closed today also.

Just a reminder to all that Monday, December 18th will be the last Harbor Springs Food Pantry of the Year. We will be closed on Monday, December 25th - Christmas Day. We will be OPEN on New Years Day - January 1st, 2024!

Wednesday, October 19th, the Michigan Chapter of Jeep Babes began their annual Tunnel Of Trees outing with a generous donation of food to the Harbor Springs Community Food Pantry.
Pantry volunteers Julie Collie, Kaye Frang, John Lio, Cathy Lio, Rob Mackenzie, and Mark Guisinger met the 91 Jeeps in inclement weather and filled 2 trucks with nonperishables foods.

Staffords Pier Restaurant is offering their annual Thanksgiving dinner as part of their Neighbors In Need program.
Plate dinners will be provided for families of 1 to 5 people.
A whole turkey will be provided for families of 6 and up.
Dinners will be available got pick up on Thanksgiving Day.
Sign up is available at the Pantry on Monday mornings for the next several weeks.
Deadline for sign-up is November 7th.
Today people from Harbor Springs Food Pantry and Manna volunteered to help with the potato harvest at Open Arms Farm in Cross Village. It was a nice sunny day for the work and the group helped bag over 2000 pounds of potatoes (Russet and Red types). Open Arms Farm donates items like tomatoes, lettuce and potatoes to the local food pantries.
This is the tall and short of our pantry, Chuck and Anna who are just two of the cheerfful volunters you will find at the Harbor Springs Food Pantry.
Saturday, May 14, the Harbor Springs Post Office had its annual food drive and the Harbor Springs Food Pantry received all those wonderful donations. The following pictures illustrate the work pantry volunteers did to pick up and sort the donation. Thanks to all the people who donated or helped in this effort.

We are also in need of plastic shopping bags, so please feel free to bring in your gently used, but clean plastic bags for us to reuse - THANKS!

Please Note: The Harbor Springs Food Pantry is open every Monday. It does not close for Holidays. The exception is for snow days when the Harbor Springs schools are also closed. Any other closings would be immediately posted here.
The food pantry will be closed today, Dec 6.
Just a note... whenever the Harbor Springs schools are closed due to weather the Harbor Springs Food Pantry will also be closed.

Stafford's Pier Restaurant is offering their annual Thanksgiving dinner as part of their Neighbors in Need program.
Plate dinners will be offered for families of 1-5; whole turkey dinners for families of 6 and greater. Dinners include turkey and all fixings, including pie.
Dinners can be picked up only on Thanksgiving Day. No deliveries this year.

The first Presbyterian church annually prepares picnic bags for patrons at the Harbor Springs community food pantry. This year 41 bags were distributed to smiling recipients.

March 24th. Quarterly Surplus TEFAP Distribution. A 3-Pantry Collaboration.
Step 1: Bob, Julie and John meet and greet the semi and make a plan!
Step 2: Distribute pre-packed food boxes for an hour.
Step 3: Load our share of the balance.
Step 4: Unload that share at the Pantry and add it to our existing inventory.
Step 5: ONE second de-mask to prove we’re all smiling about the job well done!
