Association of Massage Therapists Launches Groundbreaking Research Resource

The Association of Massage Therapists (AMT) is proud to announce the launch of its newly updated Massage Therapy Research Database. This comprehensive resource, which employs the latest bibliographic tools and artificial intelligence, provides a critical appraisal and grading of massage therapy evidence.

AMT Chairperson, Kristy Baird, expressed excitement about the launch. "With AMT’s graded research resource, massage therapists and Registered Training Organisations now have an invaluable tool at their fingertips. It will not only empower therapists to make informed, evidence-based decisions in their practices, but will also provide a solid platform for AMT’s ongoing advocacy by clearly delineating the efficacy of massage therapy as a healthcare intervention."

The first stage of the grading project, completed in March 2024, focuses on systematic reviews and meta-analyses of massage therapy, which are the top tier forms of study in the evidence hierarchy. AMT plans to expand the gradings to encompass the other clinical studies in the resource.

The AMT research resource is accessible through a publicly available online library and as a downloadable spreadsheet containing links to studies and their abstracts.

AMT member, Youjung Suh, said that the resource is a godsend for those who may be new to research. "I am really interested in research but can get lost and overwhelmed quickly when trying to access it. The traffic light system used to grade studies simplifies the process of evaluating the quality of evidence. Being able to quickly reference and rely on the grading system helps me to navigate studies with more confidence and will inform my clinical practice in a more direct and tangible way."

AMT's commitment to research and evidence-based practice underlines its role as a leader in the massage therapy industry, advocating for high standards of practice, professional development and evidence-informed care.

We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking, skilled, compassionate Licensed Massage Therapists who are called to a higher level of healing. We require impeccable bedside manner, and clinical knowledge and clinical skill to match, as well as a love of learning and growing your abilities and knowledge.

We are an evidence based practice, and our Veteran Centered Model of Care enables us to help everyone from veterans, to new moms, athletes and the elderly, to reduce their pain and improve their quality of life. We offer a wide range of modalities including Swedish Massage, Myofacial Release, LomiLomi, Neuromuscular Therapy, Reflexology, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and Spa Treatments such as Face Treatments, Scalp Treatments, Hand Treatments, Foot Treatments and more! We are looking for canidates with all ranges of experience and will happily train the right person.

Schedules:

There are 4 Schedules available

Weekday Days M-F 9 AM - 2 PM

Weekday Evenings M-F 3PM - 7:30 PM

Weekend Days 9 AM - 2 PM.

Weekend Evenings 3 PM- 730 PM.

PAY:

Starting Pay: $50.00 per hour plus tips through a Probation Period of 90 days

$55.00 per hour plus tips after probationary period ends

Raised $5 per hour each 6 months of employment with Double Eagle Massage Therapy.

Annual Bonus of $1000-$12000 depending on performance each month.

Hours may range from 0-14 hours per week

Qualifications

While we are seeking all levels of experience, we are looking for the best of the very best who love the art and Science of Massage Therapy and helping people to heal.

Must be Licensed to practice Massage Therapy in the state of Montana

Please bring a copy of your massage license to your interview.
