Come visit us during the annual North Carolina Apple Festival in beautiful downtown Hendersonville, NC! We will be open with extended hours every day of the festival. We have something for everyone whether you're a history buff, sci-fi fan, enjoy the classics or a beach read and everything in between for all ages and budgets. We also have an assortment of fun journals, stickers, wildlife posters and cards, and a new selection of posters celebrating our hometown.

Still trying to find a gift for that hard-to-please loved one? Check out our array of books for all ages, from 1st Editions of Stephen King's Carrie and Wodehouse's Jeeves and Wooster, to current fiction, to The Grinch for children. Downtown Hendersonville is starting to reopen and is allowing retail businesses to open with restrictions. How is everyone feeling about shopping downtown or in general?

Thanks to all my customers for all the support over the last 10 years. Today marks the 10-year anniversary of Joy of Books, which was originally opened on Davis Street. A few throwback pictures!

We should be gearing up for our 10-year anniversary, which is April 1. However, instead this crazy virus has shut down our business, like most of America. Stay safe and healthy and hopefully we’ll be able to celebrate soon.

Wow! It's hard to believe we are celebrating our 8th year in business. We opened up on April 1 originally in the Kanuga Cottages then moved to our current location in Downtown Hendersonville. We are thankful to all our wonderful customers!

Due to heavy snow in Hendersonville and surrounding areas, we are closed today, December 9. Time for a good book and a warm fire.
