UPDATE: Since Jan. 15 is a federal holiday, these changes will go into effect on Tuesday, Jan. 16. Also, in addition to being closed on weekends, the temporary east ACP will also be closed on federal holidays.
PUBLIC NOTICE: Effective Jan. 15, 2024, everyone entering Fort Indiantown Gap through the main Access Control Point must present a compliant identification card. Compliant IDs are: a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) or a valid state- or federally issued ID that has previously been entered into the ACP’s scanning system. Anyone who does not have one of these compliant IDs must go into the visitors center. The personnel working in the visitor center will scan the bar code on the ID to check the identity and background of the individual. Once the visitor is cleared, the visitor center will issue a pass for the individual who will present the pass when they pass through the gate.
Also on Jan. 15, a temporary ACP will open on Quartermaster Road near Shuey Lake on the east end of the installation. This ACP will be for EMPLOYEES ONLY, and everyone using it must have a compliant ID. All visitors and delivery drivers must use the main ACP. The east ACP’s hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. being for outbound traffic only. The east ACP will not be open on weekends.
