Tomorrow is the last day of school!! Here’s a sneak peak into tomorrow’s carnival 🎡

This year for our raffle, we had "Pie Mr. Sparks in the face" - and here is it!

This morning we recognized The Refinery Church and Hilliard Presbyterian Church as Beacon's Friends of Education for this school year. Their volunteer service and support has been significant in scope. The relationship we have with these two amazing organizations have allowed us to care for many students and families. Because of them, we have been able to meet immediate needs of families and students, provide meals to those in need, and build a great support system ❤️ We are extremely grateful for their partnership and support; “thank you” doesn’t even begin to show our appreciation.

Tomorrow is Field Day!!
Don't forget extra clothes, sunscreen, and water bottles. It's going to be a HOT one! Ice in water bottles, and larger water bottles than normal would be a safe and smart choice!

Amie Clark, an Ohio Realtor with the Hursh Group, is our last, but certainly not least, sponsor for our field day. Spirit Night next Tuesday, April 16th from 4-10pm at our local Grandad's Pizza on Trueman Blvd. We encourage you to skip Taco Tuesday and support our Beacon PTO with either Dine-in, Delivery, or Carry-out! Just be sure to mention "Beacon Spirit Night" when ordering! Students will be sent home with a flyer that you can present when you order in store or pick up your order for carry out or delivery. Call your friends, take the kids, and enjoy some wings, pizza, subs, and more! We hope to see you there!!

We have many positions open for PTO officers next year! Most parents and guardians are busy and are concerned that having a position will take too much time. We are so grateful for any time you can give, because without officers, we cannot function as a PTO. We also need room parents and committee chairs for the 2024-2025 school year

Available openings:

TREASURER takes care of all monies (deposits and payments) associated with PTO, maintains the budget and provides an updated budget at each PTO meeting.

SECRETARY takes notes at PTO meetings and reports on previous meetings

VICE PRESIDENT STAFF: liason between staff and PTO. Plans late night conference dinners for teachers, and teacher appreciation week. Also helps with staff supply requests.

VUCE PRESIDENT VOLUNTEER : help recruit volunteers for specific events, helps with sign ups etc.

VICE PRESIDENT FUNDRAISING : oversees fundraisers with chairperson for each event (Walk a Thon, Read a Thon, Book Fairs, Flower Sales etc

Last Friday we had our monthly Beacon Bobcat Award Winners receive their certificates. Congratulations to those who show Empathy, Perseverance, Responsibility, Leadership, and Curiosity on a daily basis! Talk to your child this week about their goal for March. What are they striving for when it comes to these attributes???

Our very own FIRST GRADE has a whole exhibit of student work celebrating the finish of module 2 in Wit and Wisdom: Creature Features!
Students are displaying their knowledge in craft of PARAGRAPH writing, along with trading cards, art work, and diorama's showing the use of texture, just like Steve Jenkins did in his books!

Along with the book fair, the Beacon Staff will be holding a Raffle, where students can buy tickets to put into a staff members' raffle box for the chance to win! Things being raffled range from gift cards, lunch bunch with a teacher and friend(s), ice cream party, fancy cups, and more! Students will need CHANGE, as each ticket is 25cents! 🙂 Students have the whole week of the book fair to purchase tickets - your student can preview raffle items in the IDC this week.
