This is not just a web site with a discussion board, the Order is an active organization with real world goals. Being a Moai involves ritual, participation, cooperation, ideation, creativity, loyalty, and fellowship. We are a young organization so almost everything is a work in progress which makes membership both a challenge and a lot of fun. Basically we are saying that you can be creative and escapist while still seeking some societal benefit from it.

Do you know WHY we throw Ohana? Maybe you thought it's because we love a good room crawl, or a great theme party, or maybe because we just love the historic Tiki Resort (and you wouldn't be wrong). But the BIGGEST reason is to support our national charity partner, the Easter Island Foundation :

$77,000 for Maui Strong !!!
Moai and friends, you are the most fantastic community! Thanks to your overwhelmingly generous donations, we smashed our $30,000 match goal, and with the help of our wonderful friends at Trader Vic's (with an additional donation of $15k!) we have donated SEVENTY SEVEN THOUSAND dollars for fire relief.

The loss of life and damage in Maui is terrible and help is needed. The Fraternal Order of Moai Foundation is working to raise relief funds and this will include an opportunity for you to double your impact if you are able to give. We will have more information soon.
