Be kind to yourself, and acknowledge you're doing your best and that this is enough.
You're doing great ✨️
There are so many different ways to be strong, and they don't all look the same.
We have a well-moderated private and confidential group as well, called “Freedom From Narcissistic and Emotional Abuse-the Private Group” where you can get support from other survivors, and can post anonymously if you choose. Only group members can see what you post.
We’d love to have you join so BE SURE to answer the membership questions and agree to the rules, otherwise the auto-mod will automatically turn down your application. Link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/191053664971647

TEACHING CHILDREN SOCIAL SKILLS CAN BE JUST AS IMPORTANT AS TEACHING ACADEMICS
This is a great chart that shows social skills that children should be learning through interactions at school and at home.

Life is short … set the boundaries you need. Not every introduction becomes a life long connection .
THE NARCISSIST MADE YOU APOLOGIZE...FOR DOING *NOTHING* WRONG. If you tell the narc they hurt you, they'll make you apologize. In the end, survivors realize that they ended up apologizing for everything because you constantly walked on eggshells. It's a hard habit to break because we constantly lived with the fear of disapproval, and the abuse that followed.
We apologized when we're right. For having friends. For speaking the truth. For setting boundaries. For needing rest and peace. For...just about everything. But my abuse is not my life story. My story is about how I recovered from the abuse, put up boundaries, moved on, and became happy again. And, one of my strongest boundaries is...no longer apologizing for living my life the way I think best.
Take care of yourself! You only get one you!
Did you hear... they stop talking to that person? They blocked them on social media? That person can no longer watch their kids ? Did they block their phone number? Can you believe it, they said no!? No, what I did hear is they set boundaries. They determined who they wanted in their child's life. They cut off a toxic relationship. They decided not every connection is a friendship. They determined that protecting their peace was far greater than making someone comfortable and deserve to have their boundaries respected.

Don't forget to check-in on others - you never know what someone may be going through 💙
Grief is personal. We cannot tell a person how to grieve or how long to grieve. Grief is not comparable. It is individualized. What one person can move in ( movement being subjective) another appears to be stagnant ( also subjective). Don’t push another person's healing process. Remember healing is also subjective.
I say this phrase many, many, times a day, and this is what I mean ♥️
