Our first service day was at Waimea Valley and it was a blast. Soto students got to experience Hui Hānai Āina, a program that helps to restore the native land of Hawaii. Rain or shine!

Alumni Spotlight
Please meet Colin Lee who graduated from Soto in '96. He attended Maryknoll and graduated with an Accounting Major from University of Oregon. He credits Soto for "being a small school [and] remembering people a little more than if there were hundreds of students." For the past 9 years, Colin has been a successful real estate agent in Oahu.

The students at Soto enrich their Hawaiian culture arts by experiencing and learning from "The Pa'akai We Bring" written and performed by Honolulu Theatre for Youth. This is one their first field trips for 2022-23!

Soto students opt to participate in the Ceramics Afterschool program where they can learn new clay techniques, including hand-building, glaze technique and skills. Pottery helps them explore creatively with their hands and develop confidence to pursue their ideas in their head. 🖼 🖌

🚀 ⚙️🔭🕹 Robotics and STEM is offered as an afterschool program twice a week. This course helps students develop their problem solving skills, creative thinking, and critical thinking skills through hands-on STEM activities. 🤖 ⚙️🔭🕹

Covid has claimed many organizations in the past two years; we are fighting to keep our institution open and to give our teachers a home to continue their impact on our future generation. Please consider helping Soto Academy raise $20,000 this month to help with our transition to a new campus. Monies raised will be used to help fund necessary costs associated with relocation, assist with classroom supplies and technology equipment for the new school.
