Reminiscing about newlywed member Christina’s surprise bridal shower held at the gym. We all dressed in our best bridesmaid dresses and turned the rig into an alter. Boxes became cocktail tables. A lot of healthy food and exercising was not in attendance that night. 😄

You can always find members celebrating making it past Monday at happy Tuesday in Hawai’i Kai. Some even come just for the celebration and skip the workout.

Meet Todd Tamanaha who is the longest standing member of CrossFit Hawai’i. One of the first to join in 2008 he also has the longest coaching history. Todd is a consultant for an IT contractor that does informational technology on computers. His favorite past time is playing with his 3 grandchildren and working out of course! His least favorite CrossFit moves are too many to name but he does love the “constantly varied functional movements done at high intensity.” You haven’t changed in 15 years Todd,so it must be working!

It doesn’t matter your current skill level, fitness, age, or previous experience; anyone can get started with us! We are a diverse community welcoming to people of all backgrounds. Together we will teach you the basic movements of Crossfit at a beginners pace. The aim is to provide you with a sense of confidence in your competence with movement, equipping you to jump into our classes and continually refine techniques that will enhance your performance in the gym, and in your day to day life. Course Begins Aug 16th. Register today by texting 808-256-5665. Classes will be held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5pm, and will go for 30min. Price is $149 for this 4 week period.

Hawaii crew arrived in Madison, WI yesterday and this morning. Slightly jet lagged but nothing would stop us from being here with Anne. Extremely honored to walk this journey with our very own, Anne Namba.
