A very moving and inspirational Sunrise Remembrance ceremony yesterday at the Clark County Government Center on the six year anniversary of the 1 October tragedy here in Las Vegas. All the love and support from Hawaii for Iam Tongi is bringing back so many special memories of my American Idol top 3 homecoming experience. I was just a 16 year old island girl with big dreams and American Idol literally changed my life. It was so good to speak with Iam when he arrived back in Hawaii before his parade and concert today. I can totally relate to how overwhelming this moment is for him and how emotional he’s feeling right now. It was one of the most magical days of my life and is something I’ll never forget and will always be grateful for.
