Exciting day today, believe it or not these pallets are going to become a beautiful yoga space and we have a ‘Little Bit’ now to help us 🥰

I’m starting a new “You can’t make that chit up - my life in the country” posting.
I’m now living in Hughes Springs Texas, I was looking for my place and here we are with the boxes ticked.
Whenever I’ve spoken up here first question is where are you from, but been getting that for nearly 20 years now 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Today’s fun moments - went to Farmers Market in Winnsboro, chatted to the honey seller about a recent trip he made to Devon. There was a gravestone at a crossroads going back to 1800s from a young girl that hanged herself after falling pregnant and being thrown out of the town. They buried her at the crossroads because they didn’t want her haunting the town. The local Inn is haunted and there’s flowers in the grave every day and nobody knows who puts them there! 👻
We then wandered around cute town and decided to go to a cute South African restaurant, food was delicious. The waitress was from Tasmania, Australia, the owners obviously South African. We were the only people sitting inside and this other family comes in wife South African, husband Irish and daughter visiting from Arizona, they moved to area 2 months ago. It’s all happening in Piney Woods!

I watched a Swami (think Monk) catch a 5+foot snake in a common walking area in the ashram and take it to a safer place, for the people and the snake. We get cobras here, but this was a harmless snake.

Christmas dinner LOL. I did have icecream first 😊

A day in the city! I haven't seen a bus conductor for years 😁

The science of yoga is subtle and oh so effective when done right. Making it in your experience can change your life. If you're gonna do it, do it right!

Most people try to learn yoga from books. When yoga was taught in the beginning, it was transmitted, never taught nor written in the books. There is a huge difference between teaching & transmitting which takes much more discipline & devotion to be able to pass on without any distortions.

Much care was taken in the ancient times to transmit the knowledge with out a single distortion. Once any distortion happens, then the technology doesn't work the way it's supposed to. Once it is written in a book, millions of misinterpretations happen based on one's personality which is formed by being dipped in to various aspects of culture and memory-karma thus distorting the truth to mere gossip!

Most people read a book and learn the practice without necessary in depth understanding of various aspect, dimensions and context in which it is written.

It is very dangerous to learn from a book. It is irresponsible to do so.
One must understand that If something has the power to transform life, it also has the power to destroy life. Please learn yoga from an authentic source. Isha yoga is classical hatha yoga offered in its purest form by Sadhguru, a realised yogi, mystic & founder of Isha Foundation.
