Diabetic patients often see their diabetes care team much more frequently than their Primary Care Physician. Dr. Angel Tejada is an Internist who not only handles your general care, but he also focuses on the advanced care and management of Diabetes.

Bilingual Medical Assistant/
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Foreign Medical Graduate -
We are currently seeking a full time Medical Assistant or Foreign Medical Graduate to join our Endocrinology practice in Southwest Houston, Texas. We are an established, fast-paced, specialty practice serving complex patients. The applicant must enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.

Duties:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for:

Assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures
Promptly greets and rooms patients
Assessing patients' vitals, allergies, reconciling medication and other pertinent medical history as appropriate
Assist with procedures directly supervised by the provider
Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient visit
Communication with Physician regarding orders, prescriptions and referrals
Required Skills:

Spanish speaker is required
EMR proficiency is preferred (eClinicalWorks)
Required Education:

Medical Assistant or Certified
Medical Assistant Required
Foreign Medical Graduate

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $15.00 per hour
