An Outreach Event is a great opportunity to meet Dr. Nath one-on-one to ask all your questions about surgical treatment for your Brachial Plexus Injury, foot drop, or Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (among other issues). You may be wondering, how much time does my child have to take off school? Will there be a lot of pain? What does long-term aftercare look like? You can also be evaluated as a candidate for surgery on the spot. Your time slot is reserved for you and these will always be free of charge.

Outreach Events are a great time to meet Dr. Nath face-to-face and ask all your questions about surgical approaches to winging scapula, thoracic outlet syndrome, and brachial plexus injuries (among others)! Hey Y'all! Time for another paper from Dr. Nath! This one is titled "Incidence, Etiology, and Management of Long Thoracic Nerve Injuries and Winging Scapula" and the full text can be accessed for free!

This paper is a study of 789 patients to determine the most common causes of injury to the Long Thoracic Nerve - one of the injuries that Dr. Nath treats at TNPI.

It's important for patients to read peer-reviewed NIH papers so they can bring different scientifically validated ideas to treatment, and choose a plan that works best for them! Also, some doctors may not be aware that big studies like this are being done and it can help to ask questions.
