🤠YEEHAW! Our participants had a good time at Western Day! 🎉🌵 Dressed in their cowboy hats and boots, they brought the Wild West to life right here in our Adult Day Program!

From lively rounds of musical chairs to exhilarating races on hobby horses, the laughter and smiles were contagious! 🤗🎶 It was a day filled with fun, friendship, and a whole lot of cowboy spirit.

🏁 🚗 Saturdays are always a blast at Camp Pursuit! Last weekend, our campers had a thrilling time with race car-themed activities. They got creative by designing their own race cars, had a blast with coloring and word search challenges, and even played a fun game of Bingo with some awesome prizes up for grabs. 🎉

🌟 Brian has successfully completed his work experience training in the Human Resources department at The Center for Pursuit! 🎉 During his time with us, Brian displayed exceptional organizational skills, a strong willingness to learn, and a commitment to contributing to the success of our HR team. With the support of job coaching, he was able to tackle challenging tasks, develop new skills, and gain valuable insights into social and workplace culture.

Despite facing initial challenges in managing multiple tasks, Brian's dedication and hard work paid off as he continued to improve and grow throughout his training. We are incredibly proud of his progress and grateful for the support of our HR Department in helping him succeed.

From there, our teams battled it out on the field while the rest of our participants cheered on their favorite players. Our Day Program Adult Activity Center participants had an amazing time at the SPA! 💅 Our day program staff went above and beyond to make the day special by giving the ladies makeovers and nail treatments, and the gentlemen enjoyed relaxing hand massages. 🌟 Meet Rosalyn, one of the many remarkable members of The Center for Pursuit's community! 🏅 For over 50 years, she has excelled in the Special Olympics, earning multiple medals and ribbons in track and field events such as the 50-yard dash and shot put. 🏃‍♀️ She loves sports and is always willing to talk to you about her achievements. Join us as we celebrate Rosalyn's journey together! 🎉

Yesterday was National Personal Chef Day and we celebrated in a special way at our day program! Our amazing staff members stepped up and became personal chefs to our participants, serving up a delicious meal of chicken alfredo with spinach, green salad, rolls, and a refreshing drink. It was a day filled with good food and great company. 🍽️👩‍🍳

Doug's passion for independence and exploring new destinations is fully supported by our dedicated staff, empowering him to fully embrace life. 🌍 Recently, he had an amazing trip to Fulton Beach Park, where he stayed in a waterfront Airbnb. 🏖️ Doug enjoyed a swim in the pool, soaked up the sun on the beach, indulged in delicious seafood, and enjoyed his favorite snacks. 🦀

The Center for Pursuit’s Harrisburg location will continue to be closed, Friday, July 12, 2024 due to power outages. Next week, we look forward to resuming our programs and services on Harrisburg.
