She explored our school, interacted with students, and shared her valuable insights with our principal.

TCF's educational model employs certain best practices that enhance and sustain girls' enrolment in school. Here's how we empower girls through education:

We are thrilled to share that the Stanford Social Innovation Review (SSIR) has featured The Citizens Foundation (TCF) in its recent case study, 'The School System Rebuilding Civil Society,' authored by Noor Noman.

The piece highlights TCF’s journey of delivering quality education on a massive scale and its innovative approach to breaking down barriers, particularly for girls, to ensure equitable access to education. It chronicles the inspiring story of Kainat Ansari, a TCF alumna who grew up in the slums of Karachi and went on to graduate from Whitman College and attend Oxford University. The case study sheds light on the essential elements which have shaped TCF into a transformative force for positive change and extended its impact beyond the walls of its schools and into the communities it serves.

We are thrilled to share that The Citizens Foundation (TCF) and the Institute of Development & Economic Alternatives (IDEAS) have collaborated on a research study supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF).

The study seeks to understand the impact of sustained quality education on female empowerment and on shifting social norms regarding gender. It will provide evidence on programs in education that create the space for shifting social attitudes and gender norms, and how they can contribute positively towards female empowerment, particularly in marginalized communities.

This study aspires to expand the frontiers of research on education and development in Pakistan, ultimately contributing to the advancement of educational opportunities and social transformation.

Meet Ameer Hamza (second from left) - a TCF alumnus and a former Rahbar Mentee, returning to his school as a mentor to inspire the next generation of TCF's agents of positive change. A native of Halloki in rural Punjab, Ameer Hamza is pursuing Chartered Accountancy and is a partner at an accounting firm.

Rahbar is a Youth Mentorship Program in which volunteers from different walks of life gather with the motive of mentoring adolescents to become responsible and productive members of society.

We are excited to announce that there will be a silent 'Auction for Education' at our Gala. It'll be a chance to witness the exceptional artwork created by well-known artists and finely crafted Rallis meticulously sewn by the women of Tharparkar.
