DEGREE SPOTLIGHT: The Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction program is a 36-hour program that provides expertise related to curriculum content and instructional methodology. In this program, individuals can increase their knowledge and skills without pursuing a certification or specialization. You do not need to be a certified teacher to complete this degree.

The MEd - C&I offers students additional expertise in the area of education while also allowing them to take a variety of courses across many areas in education. Throughout the program, students develop knowledge and skills through working with children and teachers.

HCU Online students, you may access your courses to prepare for the upcoming Spring term beginning Monday, April 29.

Access to your courses will allow you to familiarize yourself with the syllabus as well as the course schedule to set yourself up for success in the coming weeks.

The registration deadline for the first half of the summer2024 semester is TODAY!

DEGREE SPOTLIGHT: The MACMHC program prepares students for careers in mental health counseling and related fields by offering advanced preparation in mental health counseling, testing and research methods. Graduates go on to work in a variety of settings, including private practices, universities, clinics, hospitals, mental health agencies, churches, and schools.

Graduates of this program are eligible to apply for licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas. Before becoming an LPC, graduates need to pass the National Counselor Exam (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Exam (NCMHCE), Texas Jurisprudence Exam, and complete a 3,000 hour internship under the supervision of an LPC-S.

With the beginning of a new term just around the corner at HCU, it may seem overwhelming to make sure everything is aligned so that you can get off to a great start with your new courses.

Once all enrollment steps are complete and your courses are secured, make sure to review all course materials (syllabus, schedule, outline and due dates) in Blackboard as soon as you gain access to the courses. Students will typically have access to the course at least one week prior to the start. So make sure to take advantage of that early access to familiarize yourself with the course and expectations as well as any required materials!

DEGREE SPOTLIGHT: The Department of Theology offers the Master of Arts in Christian Leadership (MACL) as a graduate program designed prepare students for ministry - both lay and vocational - in their churches. Building join the core elements of biblical and theological knowledge, the 36 credit hour program focuses on developing the skills of a leader in Christian ministry and in whatever setting God leads you.
