The Times Building is located across from our brand-new parking garage and DGX! This was the 2nd skyscraper in Downtown Huntsville right behind the Hutchens building.

Fun fact: The Times Building and The Russel Erskine Hotel were being built at the same time. Both wanted to win the honor of being the “tallest skyscraper in Downtown Huntsville”. In the end, The Times Building won that title. But only after they added on an extra floor at the end of construction. Due to this last minute add on, the elevators inside this building don’t go all the way to the top!

This building has been the home of The Huntsville Times, WLRH, WAHR, and J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Everyone at Old Town wants to thank Brendan Prince from PAK Legacy for the use of the gravel lot for the last several months, the red outline in the image. They basically let us use it for the only parking we have had for most of 2020. We don't know what to do to thank you. After the new building is open, we hope you will let us throw you a party.

So, starting Wed Jan 27, parking will be street only. There are several spots along Greene and Lincoln and Holmes. But we acknowledge that it is not easy. You'll need to WANT to come to OTBX until the HUGE parking garage is finished across the street that's the yellow outline in the image. We hear that completion is scheduled for APRIL. So, OTBX fans, we will need some help.
