We don't call Habitat ReStore of the River Valley just another "thrift shop." It's our nonprofit retail center where new and gently used building materials and home furnishings are sold. Generated revenue helps build affordable housing in Madison, Limestone & Jackson Counties. For that reason, we call it "the store that builds community." OK... CALLING ALL FUTURE and CURRENT VOLUNTEERS!! Next Saturday, August 10, 2024 (Lake Drive, Huntsville, NW, 35811)... we're having a HUGE landscaping opportunity for every one 13 years and older (keep in mind 13-17 year old volunteers need to come with a chaperone) can come out and help us!
Contact us so we can get pertinent information to you and send your waivers to you ahead of time, so you can return them before volunteer day or even bring them with you. We'll be doing a short orientation on site before we start the project! The more the merrier... not to mention, the more hands the sooner we get it done!

On Saturday, we were honored to host a Home Dedication for Tytionna and her family. Thank you to our teams, our House Leaders, and our sponsors (The Madison County Commission w/ Violet Edwards, Publix Super Market Charities, and The Alpha Foundation). It was truly a community effort.

On Saturday we hosted a Groundbreaking Event for our first house in Limestone County. We couldn't be more excited, and we're grateful to have the support of the Athens-Limestone County Chamber of Commerce -- We will soon be recruiting volunteers. All churches, businesses, and civic groups are invited to build with us!
