Victory In The City

As Believers, we celebrate when justice comes for those who are oppressed. The Bible talks a lot about God being a God of justice, of freedom, and of liberation.

Juneteenth commemorates the announcement of the abolition of slavery in the last US state on June 19, 1865 when troops arrived in Galveston,TX to proclaim the news that all slaves (more than 250,000 at the time) were finally FREE!

Together with Parent Life and City Life, core ministries of Central Indiana Youth for Christ along with community partners, local business owners, family and friends, we got to see young people celebrated, noticed, and loved.

These images capture our collective commitment to supporting and uplifting our youth. Together, we encouraged them to excel in school, make positive choices out of school, and strive for success despite the challenges they face.

Such a good time with some pretty awesome people!

It has been amazing to witness genuine transformation happen right before our eyes! We praise God for these ladies that have made a commitment to give Jesus every fiber of their being!

God, we give this year to You. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

Today we got to celebrate the ways that ordinary people positioned themselves to be used by God in the 1800s and left a legacy of ministry that has impacted the Hawthorne Community up until this day through Victory in the City!

We praise God that He is still writing His-story in and through us. 🙌
