On this solemn day, we pause to remember the events of 9/11 and honor the courage of those who sacrificed everything and also their families who were left behind.

Every year we take the time to ensure their bravery and sacrifice are never forgotten.

Airmen from the 181st Intelligence Wing, ran in the 9/11 Memorial 5K Run at Hulman Field in Terre Haute a few day ago. This is just one way we pay tribute to the first responders and all the lives lost 23 years ago today.

| Last week, Indiana was honored to lay a wreath in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising. This significant moment not only honors the sacrifices made by the people of Slovakia but also highlights the enduring partnership between the U.S. and Slovak military, which began in World War II and continues to thrive today. Throughout our visit, Maj. Gen. Dale Lyles and Gov. Holcomb met with distinguished members of the Slovak Republic, including General Daniel Zmeko and Maj. Gen. Robert Toth. Our commitment to this state partnership is a testament to the strength we share together.
