You are 𝐍𝐎𝐓 being "lazy" or "unproductive" if you take down time to rest your body and reflect on your journey.

We each deserve the same 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 and 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓 we so easily give to others and so quickly deny ourselves.
Give yourself permission to 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐄𝐈𝐕𝐄 and 𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐓 positive energy and attention from yourself and others.

𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 yourself from preconceived notions of who you think you are or should be, or who others believe you are or want you to be.

Allow yourself to 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐖 like the river - adapting to your environment and the obstacles that cross your path.

Step outside. Close your eyes and feel the wind in your hair and against your body. Remember that you a 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐎𝐅 and constantly 𝐄𝐕𝐎𝐋𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 the surrounding energies.

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞

Hello, Friends!! Are any of you also in awe at how quickly these days and this summer seem to be flying by? I only blinked and this month is already on the downswing to August. As we speak, I'm finalizing the class schedule for the last quarter of the year, and that will be posted very soon. As for now, I just wanted to take a moment and share a random thought that has been brewing... After an insanely busy few weeks, I was finally able to get outside a little this weekend to start working on projects that need attention. A little fresh air was the perfect complement to this deep, reflective mode I've been embracing for a few days now. You know that mental place you go to where you simply want to be quiet and alone with your thoughts? Sometimes people mistake your mood for being a little down or depressed, but you're really not? You're just...thinking...processing? Yeah...I'm there. And Mother Nature never fails to demonstrate her beautiful understanding of our place and needs, our symbiotic relationship with one another...

For those of you that have ever pulled w**ds from your flower beds or gardens, you know there are 2 ways to do so. You can simply grab and yank the little bu**er, and the unsightly top part of the w**d will come off...temporarily. It seems to reappear like magic overnight, creating more work for you to tend to. Or, you can dig ever so gently at the root and remove the entire w**d, along with its source of creation...giving you a longer reprieve of peace before having to deal with the next little attention seeker. Did you catch that? Giving the problem just a little love and proper attention brings you more peace...

I've recently dealt with some unrelated situations where a couple different people brought me "pain." It was unintentional on their part, and that simply happens in life. I had 2 choices in dealing with those situations. I could've had a knee-jerk reaction and yanked the w**ds of those situations to quickly eliminate the unwanted emotions, or...I could take a breath, think about the root cause of the pain related to those situations (as well as the reasons behind the situations) and give the resolutions a little love. I've put the word pain in quotation marks because my concept of pain has greatly changed on my Reiki journey, and life's challenges don't hurt like they would in the past. My perspective has changed to embrace whatever mental and physical challenges are presented, and I try to understand whatever life/spiritual lesson is being served in the moment.

Ultimately, I chose to take a breath. And because I embraced those challenges with love, I was able to explore emotions I hadn't previously realized were involved...which lead to an even deeper understanding of these people, their needs, my needs, all of our journeys, and our connection on the shared parts of our paths. Even in the most challenging situations in life, a little love can literally change your perspective and reaction to yourself and others. A little love can bring unexpected peace and beauty to the w**ds in your life. And a little extra love can make your gardens flourish with more life than you can imagine.

Choose love and watch your life and the life around you bloom in unexpected ways... Choose love.

Hello, Friends!!

I'm sorry it's been a little while since the last post. Life threw some changes, challenges and extra responsibilities my way. But more importantly, look who I found!!! For those of you that might be new to this realm, Connie is the co-founder of Reiki Center of Indiana. She's certainly busy dealing with her own life changes and challenges with retirement. We are so blessed to be able to share a little time with each other on occasion in this fast-paced life. Without a doubt, our time is always full of every emotion under the sun...every time. I've been doing a lot of reflecting on the conversations we share, and it never ceases to amaze me the depth we're able to dive the minute we come together. For those of you that can feel energy, I wonder if you can sense the layers of emotion going on in this picture?

To the Friends reading this post, we wish you peace. We wish you a greater understanding. We wish you a clarity in thought, a deep healing of your traumas, life-changing conversations and connections that support you in all the chapters of your life. Don't be afraid to ugly cry and release those pent-up feelings. Don't be afraid to laugh so hard your stomach hurts. Don't be afraid to experience the changes and challenges life presents to you...they are there for your personal path and growth. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone try new things...you might just find something you like! (You might also discover something within yourself you like...) Don't be afraid to say no...or yes. Don't be afraid to LIVE this life for all it's worth.

To my Dear Connie, thank you...for all of the above. The laughter, the tears (sometimes at the same time!), the spiritual dances we get to experience, for love, for trust, and many other things that will remain private. You are a Master, a mentor, a friend and sister.

Hello, My Friends!!

This stunning scene caught my eye as I was walking out the door one afternoon last week. I wanted to share it because it struck me so deeply. Not only was it beautiful, but it perfectly captured a sentiment that seems to be hitting many of you lately. Aside from the beauty of the blue egg and the surprise of finding it on the porch, the first detail that caught my eye was the way the water from the storm glistened in the sun on everything in sight. It made me think of a mighty cleanse...cleansing rain, cleansing tears, cleansing thoughts, and new beginnings. Every single moment in life...ANY single moment in life...is an opportunity to cleanse yourself of anything that isn't for your highest good. Any single moment in life is an opportunity to have a new beginning. We sometimes get caught up in the "details" of getting ourselves "ready" to heal, thinking things have to be a certain way, in a certain order, a certain time, or certain circumstances to start anew. No, my Friends. They do not. The next breath you take can be a new beginning if you want it be...and choose it to be so... Healing is a process and will happen over the course of many, many breaths...and cleansing rains, tears and thoughts.

There are many of you that are also dealing with two seemingly contradictory fears, but they are truly the same. Some of you are dealing with the fear of failure, and some of you are dancing with the fear of success. How are these the same? Both of these fears will keep you from MOVING FORWARD. When we allow these fears to infiltrate our decisions and actions, we're essentially closing ourselves off from recognizing or experiencing opportunities that life may present. The little bird that was in this egg has two choices when nearing its time to hatch. It can break free from the egg and deal with whatever life has in store for it, or it can remain in the egg...and die. That little bird has no idea what circumstances await for it every day, but it breaks free from its shell and simply lives. It may have to fight off predators. It may have health issues. It may have to weather storms. But it lives... The shells we lock ourselves into when we live in fear are just as fragile...easily cracked and broken by the words or actions of another, a challenge that life throws at us, or an unexpected twist in this adventure we call life. How about a change in perspective? The things we fear, the things we allow to hold us back from moving forward just may be the very things that break us free from our shells and allow us to truly live...to experience...to heal...to walk our true paths...

Don't live in fear, my Friends. Dance in the cleansing rain. Break free and heal from the emotional and physical things that hold you hostage and live your every day...

𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐢 (𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫) 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬

I often get asked by Reiki Practitioners if I know of any volunteer opportunities they can contribute their services and gifts to, and I was enlightened to such an opportunity this past week. I was approached by a woman named Helena from Gentiva Hospice asking if I knew of any practitioners that would be interested in volunteering to give Reiki to hospice patients in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and their personal homes. Hospice care is something that greatly touches my heart and will hopefully be a part of my future after I get a couple other ducks in a row. One of the greatest honors and privileges I've ever experienced was being able to be present and an active part in caring for a family member's transition from this life to the next. If you are someone that this kind of work speaks to, and you wish to share your gifts and bring comfort to individuals getting ready to make their transition, please contact Helena with any questions you may have regarding the process to get involved (contact info below).

The onboarding process is extensive and intense, as should be expected with such a position. To highlight some of the necessary requirements, you must be at least 18 years of age, complete a background check, drug test, T Spot (TB) test, be certified as Level 1, Level II or Master Practitioner and have at leave 1 year of active experience, be able to provide proof of Reiki certification, provide 2 references regarding your Reiki work experience, as well as mandatory training and orientation with Gentiva Hospice.

What do you see when you look in the mirror, Friends? Are you one that just looks long enough to adjust your clothes and personal appearance? Are you one that doesn't really WANT to look any longer than necessary? Have you ever really stared at yourself and wondered who the person was staring back at you? Who do you see? Do you see a stranger? Do you focus on the physical ways life has changed your appearance due to age or stress? Do you count your gray hairs or wrinkles? Are you in awe of how red and puffy your eyes are after that emotional release? What about who you see when you're having a good day...do you call yourself beautiful? Do you hold yourself just a little higher and strut into the day with confidence? Do you ever smile at your reflection and truly enjoy who you see...who you are?

It seems many of us all too often relate to the negative personal critiques we make at that "person in the mirror," and far too rarely call that person beautiful or confident. Why is that? Struggles with self-esteem and the way we see ourselves are often exacerbated by our own perception of "societal norms," traumas we've endured both physically and emotionally, abuse by another, and perceived "failures." Did you know that embarking on a healing journey through Reiki can change the way you look, the way you feel, how you view and respond to your traumas (and new ones), as well as your perception of the world? I have witnessed years of pain erased from the face of someone who endured immense emotional trauma, and they literally looked like an entirely different person. I have watched people start holding their bodies straighter after treatments and walking with a smile on their face because of the incredible changes that happen as they experience revelations and transformations. I've seen negativities melt into love for self and others, joy infused into difficult situations, and personalities literally changed as the chains of emotional bo***ge are broken and swept away. There is nothing greater than watching the tears of emotional release from someone who just experienced an "a-ha" moment, or finally let go of that something that was holding them hostage.

I want each of you to go and look at yourself in the mirror...
You will see someone that has a significant, divine purpose.
You will see someone that is perfect, just the way they are in that very moment...as well every moment before and after.
You will see someone that is capable of enduring tough days and handling the challenges life presents.
You will see someone that has the freedom and ability to make an impact on the people they meet and the world around them.
You will see someone that can love the scars they carry and the amazing stories they tell about their journey in this life.
You will see the beautiful and unique person you are, that you were meant to be, and will always be with your every breath.
You will see someone who is important, even if you aren't able to perceive just how deeply...yet.

When I look in my own mirror, I'm grateful for the grays and wrinkles I see - I've earned every one of them. I see a woman that has been so privileged to share so many incredible life experiences and conversations with so many of you. I see a woman that has much more to do and accomplish before her days in this life are over. Thank you for being such an integral part of my own story, My Friends. You are loved and appreciated very deeply and sincerely...

𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬

Hello, Friends!!

I'm very sorry for the delay in getting back to you with the results from the meditation I was doing for your requests... Sometimes life happens and we simply have to jump through extra hoops. So, without any further ado, here we go!

First and foremost, THANK YOU dearly to each of you that provided the names of people, situations and topics that needed attention during this meditation. I could feel the outpouring of love from your requests, and that alone was overwhelmingly beautiful. The way I approached this particular meditation was in a very methodical manner. I had colored pieces of paper that I used to separate the types of requests you provided. Any request that was made for a physical issue was written on a pink piece of paper. Any request that was made for an emotional/mental issue was written on a purple piece of paper. Any request that was made for a particular person, but an issue was not specified, was written on a blue piece of paper. Any issue was more of general subject or topic was written on a yellow piece of paper. These papers were then folded and placed in a special bowl I use for meditations and ceremonies. I had taken a photo of this beautiful mix to share with you but realized you could see a couple of words on a couple of papers that had come a little bit unfolded. I promised all requests would remain private, so I couldn't share it with you...and I apologize.

I started the meditation with sending Reiki to the entire bowl of requests. As things progressed, I unfolded each request and sent Reiki to each specific person, issue and topic before returning them all to the bowl to end the meditation with more Reiki to the entire bowl. I wanted to share the visualizations that occurred during this meditation, as I never know how things will unfold or what I'll be shown while doing such things. This was very different that anything I'd ever seen. There were some specific visions that came through about specific requests that I won't share because they're personal to the request. But overall, there was a particular image that applied to ALL of the requests. If you could, imagine the silhouette of the human body... There was an "electric blue spark" of energy that would flow through the silhouette in the appropriate place for the request. Do you remember what it looks like if you take a lit sparkler (firework) and wave it around while it's burning? Your eyes see a "firey path" wherever the sparkler flowed...? It looked a bit like that, except more brilliant and electric blue. This is what the energy looked like as it flowed through the silhouette in the appropriate places. I wish I could make you feel the love and power behind this energy. It was quite intense and all consuming, for lack of a better way of describing it. It made me feel a very reverent silence for most of the day, and continued to give me peace for days after...

I had intentions of burning the requests when the meditation was over to signify releasing those requests to your Higher Powers, but it was particularly windy at that time. So, I set the bowl aside to keep receiving Reiki energy until the weather was more cooperative. The requests have now been burned, and it was MY request to Spirit that the physical hold these issues have on your body, mind and spirit be released and healing brought to the forefront.

Thank you again for allowing me to be a part of an experience that hopefully brought something positive to your path. I dearly look forward to what we're guided to share in the future. Wishing you peace, love, strength and healing for all you're dealing with, and the perspective to understand the deeper meanings behind the situations...

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥

My Friends, so many of you are experiencing great stresses and challenges at the moment... I'm hearing about many physical issues that are unexpectedly hitting you, mental and emotional concerns, and a spiritual restlessness you just can't put your finger on. I certainly believe this is all part of the spiritual shift we've been feeling ramp up lately and want to give you encouragement in these tough times. These are the birthing pangs of change. Great turbulence is always the catalyst for great transformation...

The struggle is real...but so is 𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐄. So is 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓. So is 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄. So is 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐇. So is 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐓𝐇.

I will be engaging in a special meditation on Sunday morning (March 17th) at 9 a.m. EST to bring healing energies to the issues that you have shared with me. Students will receive the appropriate attunement (now Placement), one power symbol and will be certified in the First Degree of the Usui/Holy Fire III System of Healing upon completion.

𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐢 𝐈𝐈 (𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫, 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥/𝐄𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠): Students will receive the appropriate attunement (now Placement), two additional power symbols, and will learn the practice of distant healing. Students will be certified as a Reiki Practitioner (Second Degree) upon completion.
Prerequisite: Reiki I

𝐀𝐑𝐓/𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠): Students will be certified as a Reiki Master upon completion of this class, with the ability to attune and ignite others for the use of Reiki practice. Students will receive 2 additional power symbols, the appropriate attunement (now Placement) and 4 Ignitions. This is a deeply healing experience.
Prerequisites: Attendees must have completed Reiki I, Reiki II, and practiced Reiki II for at least 6 months prior to class.
