"It is wonderful to see the impact that longtime leaders like David are still having on Sigma Alpha Mu,” said Andy Huston, executive director of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity.
At our National Convention this past August, Fra Sergi shared his commitment to the Foundation and Fraternity through a seven figure gift, hoping that by sharing his gift, others will do the same.

Established in 2001 and created by the Trustees of the SAM Foundation, the September 11 Scholarship was established in memory of those fratres who were killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
This year's recipient, Howard Brown from Epsilon Xi/Emory, shares what the scholarship means to him:
"To me it is the highest honor to have received this scholarship, a token of respect for
those who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001. As someone who wasn’t born during the time of the attacks, I can only relive the day through the lens of my parents and others who were alive for the horrors of that day. The many great men and women whom we all sincerely miss today and forever. As someone with close family friends who died in the towers on that day, this scholarship is yet another reminder to live up to their expectations, never taking what I have for granted each and every day."
At its recent convention, the Sigma Alpha Mu Foundation announced $5 million in new estate gifts commitments, which were headlined by a $3.5 million commitment from Past Supreme Prior Jerry Conrey and his wife Vicki.
The record commitment from the Conreys will fund programs that support innovation, enhancement of chapter housing and educational initiatives for members of Sigma Alpha Mu. “This extraordinary commitment from Jerry and Vicki will help ensure the future of Sigma Alpha Mu,” said Aaron Girson, chief executive officer of the Sigma Alpha Mu Foundation. Jerry and Vicki’s gift will be split equally between the Sigma Alpha Mu Foundation and Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity.

“To forget would not only be dangerous but offensive; to forget the dead would be akin to killing them a second time” - Elie Wiesel
On the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, SAM commemorates the six millions Jews, and members from other targeted groups who were brutally and systematically murdered during the Shoah: the greatest tragedy in human history.
No one should ever forget the atrocities perpetrated by the N***s. Victims should never be forgotten. Every country around the world should honor all victims of the Holocaust, condemn Holocaust denial and distortion, and develop education programs to help prevent genocides from happening ever again.
With the spread of mis- and disinformation, the education of younger generations about the Holocaust is the best antidote to prevent this happening again. It is the best tool to fight intolerance, bigotry and to ensure that the message of “Never Again” reverberates throughout future generations.
This Jewish American Heritage Month, we honor Jewish Americans, who have never given up on the promise of our Nation. We celebrate the contributions, culture, and values that they have passed down from generation to generation and that have shaped who we are as Americans. We remember that the power lies within each of us to rise together against hate, to see each other as fellow human beings, and to ensure that the Jewish community is afforded the safety, security, and dignity they deserve as they continue to shine their light in America and around the world.
May the spirit of Passover inspire us to embrace the values of compassion, kindness, and gratitude in our lives. Wishing all who celebrate a blessed Passover and a season filled with joy, renewal, and abundant blessings.
Chag Sameach!
