Indianapolis, IN) May 9, 2024, USA of Indiana is pleased to announce its top performing competitive travel teams are accepted in the United States Youth Soccer National League Elite 64 Regional division starting 2024-2025!

Ray Gaddis, USAI Director of Player Development, said, "This is a tremendous opportunity for USAI players to compete and to be accepted to play in E64 amongst elite competition. To not only develop our players but advance and be apart of the advancement of soccer in this country.”

Rodney Shine, USAI Chairman of the Board, said "USAI created an atmosphere of excellence by challenging our players against the most competitive teams in the region. Elite 64 gives our athletes the ability to compete against the best clubs in the mid-west. The Elite 64 Regional League gives USAI teams the opportunity to compete on a club-to-club basis against the strongest clubs in the mid-west on the same play day. This format provides intense competition, exposure to diverse playing styles, and the ability for our players to showcase their talents at the highest levels.”

USAI Travel has produced more professional players than any other Indiana Club including MLS All Stars like Ray Gaddis, Matt Hedges, Perry Kitchen, and US Women’s National Team Star Lori Lindsey. USAI remains the Club for best all ‘round Club travel experience with highly experienced and licensed coaches, excellent volunteer team managers, reasonable tuition fees at 30%-50% below most competitors. USAI travel offers FREE, open to all, Player Evaluations & Team Formations.

USAI Elite 64 RL Teams
19U Boys – USAI 2006B Red E-64
17U Boys – USAI 2008B Red E-64
16U Boys – USAI 2009B Red E-64
15U Boys – USAI 2010B Red E-64
14U Boys - USAI 2011B Red E-64
13U Boys - USAI 2012B Red E-64

Each USAI Travel team competes at the highest skill level that is correct for the team’s development pathway. Teams compete in the Central North Conference for U8-U9-U10 with minimal travel; Indiana State League with some teams local and others statewide; US Youth Soccer National League Midwest Conference “MRL”, and US Club’s National Premier League. Teams play in 3 tournaments each season, including College Showcases and a fall tournament for U15-U19 teams. USAI hosts Indy Pike Fest, Indy Fusion Classic, Indy Burn Cup, Indy International Soccer Cup (free) with Mayor of Indianapolis.

The Elite 64 Regional League is a club-based second tier of Elite 64 serving various geographic areas around the United States. The Elite 64 Regional League provides teams that finish at the top of their group with the ability to qualify for the National League Quarterfinals. The opportunity to earn their place into the league’s national event pathway gives all National League teams the ability to compete toward a common goal — the USYS National Championships. There is also the possibility of crossover events with other teams and clubs in the region and across the country. “The growth of the Great Lakes division of the E64 RL is a testament to the clubs and players who have created excitement for the league through their hard work on and off the field,” League Manager Elliott Spruell said. “We are very excited to expand the Great Lakes division in the upcoming season to include more clubs and age groups, which will provide even more players with the opportunity to work toward their goals while playing in a competitive environment within the National League.”

On Dec. 7, 1941, "the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan." 1,177 members of the crew of the USS Arizona were killed as the battleship exploded and sank when struck by a bomb during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The bodies of more than 900 remain entombed in the vessel, which serves as a memorial for all who died during the attack. The attack killed 2,340 U.S. service members and 48 civilians, saw 12 American ships sunk or beached and destroyed 164 aircraft. The oil that still leaks from the wreckage and rises to the water's surface is known as "the tears of the Arizona" or "black tears."
