Meet the Keynote Speaker:
Mark Bridges and his wife Mary have been members of Our Lady of the Greenwood Parish since 1998 with their daughters Alexis and Erika. Mark has been coaching multiple sports since they arrived at OLG. As a coach, he has been able to share our faith with hundreds of young people whether by reading the Bible to the football team or talking about the importance of prayer to every person who played for him. Mark's goal of using scripture as a basis for many interactions with young people without making every conversation a religion class has made the difference in many lives.
Happy Feast of St. Maria Goretti!
Born in Italy in 1890, this young saint was born into poverty and after the passing of her father, she helped her mother raise her siblings while also cooking and cleaning for her neighbors. After being killed, St. Maria is an example to all for what radical forgiveness can look like. Frequently shown holding lillies, the flower symbolic of purity, St. Maria is one of the youngest Saints to be canonized in the history of the Church.
Patroness of teenagers and modern youth, today we ask for the intercession of St. Maria Goretti for the young people of today!
Happy Independence Day!
Today we celebrate the gift of our freedom, thank those who have made sacrifices to build and defend this country, pray for the leadership of this nation, and thank the Father for the United States of America.

ALLELUIA!
Today, we rejoice in the glorious celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! 🙌🌟 His victory over death fills our hearts with hope, his love brings us joy, and his grace offers us redemption. Let's come together in gratitude and praise, for He is risen indeed! Let the celebration begin! Happy Easter!
Today we look at one of Jesus' final phrases: "I thirst". We know in the Scriptures this is taken litereally, as a physical thirst that Jesus is experiencing, but today we can hear those two words as a message for us.
Jesus is thirsting for your soul, for your absolute surrender to Him. In this, we can respond with our own thirst for the life that Jesus promises. It is in acknowledging our own spiritual thirst and turning to Jesus that we are able to receive the living water He offeres to quench the deepest longings of our soul.
This Good Friday how is Jesus calling you to come closer to Him?
Reflecting on John 13:13-14 prompts us to consider the significance of Jesus' act of service and what it teaches us about humility, love, and leadership.
Humility: Jesus, who is rightfully the Teacher and Lord, demonstrates the utmost humility by performing a task typically reserved for servants. He sets an example for us to follow, showing that true greatness lies in serving others with humility and selflessness.
Love: Jesus' act of washing the disciples' feet exemplifies his deep love and care for them. It symbolizes his willingness to stoop down to meet their needs and to demonstrate his love in a tangible way. This serves as a model for us to love and serve one another genuinely, putting others' needs above our own.
Leadership: True leadership, according to Jesus, involves serving others rather than seeking power or status. By washing his disciples' feet, Jesus teaches us that leadership is about sacrificial service and leading by example. Leaders are called to serve with humility and compassion, following the example of Jesus' servant leadership.
As we reflect on John 13:13-14, let us be inspired to emulate Jesus' example of humility, love, and servant leadership in our interactions with others. May we seek opportunities to serve one another with genuine humility and love, following in the footsteps of our Lord and Teacher, Jesus Christ.
