Representing neighborhood bars since 1933. The Indiana Licensed Beverage Association is a non-profit trade association of neighborhood bars and restaurants.
Founded in 1933 after the repeal of prohibition, the ILBA represents the interests of on-premise retailers and their patrons at the Statehouse. The ILBA has a long record of success of protecting, and expanding, our members business opportunities. We led the charge for type II gaming in bars and we’ve stopped statewide food and beverage tax increases. We are currently working to expand gaming options in bars with a proposal to legalize video gaming terminals.

In remembrance of our heroes on Memorial Day.
Thoughts on how beer, wine, & spirits are distributed? And while we are chatting, how do you feel about all of these on-premise permits being created outside of the quota system? Do riverfront licenses create economic development, or are they adding to an oversaturated marketplace and devaluing existing licenses?
Balanced approach needed to make wholesale changes to state’s alcohol distribution regulations - Indiana Capital Chronicle Indiana’s recently concluded legislative session saw several changes made to the sale and distribution of alcohol.
We've been through this enough times now that we think that you all know this, but as a reminder, even though this is an Election Day, you are allowed to serve alcohol normal hours due to the lobbying efforts of the Indiana Licensed Beverage Association, and specifically Ron Breymier & Brad Klopfenstein.
Wishing you a happy Easter!
Wishing you great peace this Passover!

White Claw, Truly and more: wholesalers battle over bill on mixed beverages - Indiana Capital Chronicle Mixed alcoholic beverages have exploded in popularity, and beer wholesalers want in. Their liquor counterparts would rather they not.
The issue of violent bars and bad operators has become a forefront issue. The Indiana Licensed Beverage Association offers no quarter for operators who seek to operate outside of the law, and has no tolerance for those who thumb their noses at their responsibility to their communities. We strongly support the efforts of the Indiana Alcohol & To***co Commission, local boards, and local law enforcement in their attempts to rid our communities of these individuals who consume public safety resources and take no responsibility for their actions.
Alcohol is a highly regulated product for a reason. When alcohol is served responsibly, bars and restaurants are an asset to their communities. They provide a social outlet for fellowship and improve the image of the communities in which they operate. The Indiana License Beverage Association exists to showcase these responsible operators and all the positives that they provide.
We are troubled that some licensees hide behind questionable legal maneuvers and take advantage of laws intended to protect the public. The Indiana Licensed Beverage Association will continue to enthusiastically advocate on behalf of the vast majority of permit holders who are assets to the communities that they serve, and we will also be vocal critics of those who fail to be good stewards of the public trust granted to them with a permit to sell alcohol.

We're going to be frank, the company that was managing the ILBA closed down their operations. They left us with our membership list and that is about it. We are faced with shutting down the ILBA or selecting a new management company that will work on contingency. We are going to need a new board of directors, a board with new faces and new ideas.
So in this informal poll, do you want to see the ILBA continue on, and are you willing to be a part of the leadership? If not, the 89th Repeal Day on December 5th may be the end of the Indiana Licensed Beverage Association after 89 years of existence.
We are co-hosting a legislative reception for Indiana House & Senate members on January 9th. Make your reservations now, and we'll see you on the 9th!
