Our last introduction is for our medical director Shawna Freeman.

Shawna Freeman was born and raised in Iowa. After graduating from Ogden High School in 1997 she attended UNI and later received her Associates Degree in Nursing from DMACC in 2000.

Shawna has worked in the hospital and clinic setting in women’s health prior to pursuing advanced practice. She earned her BSN and MSN from Graceland University in 2008 and became Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center later that year.

Shawna is the Nurse Practitioner/Medical Director for FFC. She also works full time as a Nurse Practitioner at West Des Moines OBGYN and also is the Medical Director/owner of Hydrate and Heal.

Shawna and her husband Brad have two boys, Hunter (22) and Brady (18) and reside in Indianola. They enjoy camping, boating and traveling.

Our next nurse to introduce to you is Breana Sitzman.

Breana lives here in Indianola with her boyfriend Connor. They have been together for three years and have lived here for about a year and a half. She started her nursing career 7 years ago at UnityPoint in Des Moines in the ICU at Lutheran. She was a travel nurse for a few years before returning home to work at Methodist. Currently on the weekends she works full time for UnityPoint Life Flight. She has been apart of the Life Flight team for one year. She has lot of free time during the week to spend quality time with her two dogs Cletus (2 years old) and Beef (1 year old). They are Australian Shepherd Blue Heeler mixes. She likes to keep busy with home projects, reading, puzzles and traveling.

Our next nurse to introduce to you is Jennifer.

Jennifer Lonnevik is a Missouri Native and has lived in Norwalk for the last 16 years. She has been a Registered Nurse for 9 years and started her career as a NICU nurse and now enjoys working in OB/GYN.

She and her husband, Eric, have 2 children, Brookelynn, 14 and Cole, 12. Together, they stay busy with baseball, softball, volleyball, football, wrestling, horse riding. Jennifer enjoys the outdoors, spending time on the lake; kayaking and paddle boarding and spending time with family and friends.

Our next nurse to introduce to you is Brittany Blake.

Brittany has been a nurse for 12years, her career started in OBED/Antepartum for 4 years then Neuro trauma ICU and currently a labor & delivery manager.

Brittany is newly married to Pete and in her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and gardening.

Whitney is a life long Indianola resident and has been a registered nurse for 15 years. She started her career at Mercy Hospital as an oncology nurse. She continued her passion for oncology patients at Mission Cancer and Blood for 11 years, but most recently took a job with Natera as an oncology clinical support nurse and is able to work from home.

In her free time Whitney enjoys spending time with her family. She is married to Brett and together they have two children, Harper (10) and Maximus (4). They are avid Iowa State Cyclones and enjoy spending Saturdays in Ames watching football at Jack Trice Stadium.

Emily is an Arkansas Native who now lives in Indianola. She has been married to Clint for 12 years and they have 2 boys - Will is 6 and Mason is 4.
Emily has been a Registered Nurse for 10 years- her work history started in a clinic and has included: ChildServe, Blank Children’s, Clinical Research, now the Director of Healthcare Services for a New Pediatric Homecare company; Interim Healthcare of West Des Moines.

Emily says she spends most days trying to keep up with her boys. Loves summer, baseball, working out, spending time with her family and friends.

Maisy Chew has been a Registered Nurse for 11 years. She started her career at Madison County Healthcare System as a Med/Surg nurse. She has also worked in family practice and is currently working in Psychiatry for Mercyone.

When she's not caring for patients she co-manages Chew Plumbing Company with her husband, Justin Chew.

Together, they have 3 children, Guy, 15, Brody 9, and Livvy 7. Maisy enjoys traveling with friends, camping, boating and hanging out with her goldendoodles, Bruce and Stella.
