We would like to Congratulate Rusty Williams on his retirement after 50 years in the train derailment industry!
He is a true professional that was relied upon and trusted by many, many different railroad companies when they required derailment services.
“I had the great pleasure of having Rusty on our team for the last 3-1/2 years here at Davis Crane Companies/JR's Crane & Excavation, and he brought a tremendous amount of knowledge and safety to us” said Wes Dowd, Davis Crane Companies Director of Operations & Equipment.

We wish Rusty the best of luck in his retirement, and hope he catches plenty of Fish. We will miss his wittiness, jokes, and most of all his stories on the jobs. 😀

We are looking for a full-time, reliable and quick-thinking Crane Dispatcher to add to our team!

Must have strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

•Requires being on-call after hours and on weekends.
•Dispatch experience preferred.
•Full-time position with overtime, excellent benefits, 401K.

Main Duties Include:
•Manage constant change to the daily schedule to meet customer demands
•Become expert on dispatch system, supporting applications, and dispatch processes
•Communicate Crane operator/crew schedules and expectations
•Coordinate with other branches to maximize utilization of equipment & labor
•Line up rental related inspections, trucking permits, and street closure requirements
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•Requires strong interpersonal, organizational, time management skills
•Basic computer knowledge required.

We have a final total from our 2021 Davis Crane Companies Annual Toy Drive. This year, the toy drive started earlier and ended sooner thinking we would have more time to collect. Just when we thought that the time frame might hurt the donation, you showed up and blew it out of the water. Friday, Vanessa and Joann went shopping for the monetary donations that were collected from Crocker, thank you guys! Jay from Goins made a long drive out here Friday to drop off their collected toys, thank you! Mike Jr, brought FBM toys over as well and even made a last minute stop for a few bikes, thank you! Thank you Matt Palmer for bringing over the shop collection! Thank you Tina and Aaron for offering to help bag, count and store all these toys.
A BIG thank you to every single one of you who donated. We as an entire company are going to put smiles on a lot of kids this Christmas. This year we went above our 2020 toy donation and so here it is! We had to take 2 pictures….

Today we were presented with the 2021 Platinum Safety Partner Award from Texas Mutual Insurance Company. This award recognizes companies who have gone above and beyond to ensure worker’s safety. Our company is 1 of the 200 businesses receiving this honor, out of the 72,000 policyholders across Texas.
We are very dedicated to our employee’s safety and well-being and prioritize the resources necessary to protect our employees from any work place hazards. We are very proud of all of our employees who have committed to safety as a core value therefore establishing our outstanding safety record.
