How can we support you??
.
Happy Monday!
We all go through things and sometimes we just need a little support but don’t know how to ask.
Today’s task is to reach out to someone to ask how you can support them.
It could be as simple has being there for them while they vent or simply reminding them they have support can go along way❤️
That's how you change the trajectory of generational health ❤️
🤗 I'm proud of you!
I am sooooo proud you 🖤💜
You got this 🙌🏿💪🏿

HAPPY NATIONAL SOCIAL WORK MONTH!!!!
The theme for Social Work Month 2023 is Social Work Breaks Barriers. During Social Work Month it is important to take the time to learn more about the many positive contributions the profession of social work provides to many throughout the nation. This month celebrate all social workers that you may or may not know, in knowing that this journey is one that we were called upon and we do not take the life of others lightly!!!!
It’s a privilege to be able to bear witness to someone’s story when they may not have had the chance to tell it before.

I am WOMAN....Happy International Women's Day to all!!!!
How do you teach your child to take accountability, responsibility, and ownership of their actions? Not by giving them loud and long lectures (they're not listening 🤷🏾♀️) but by.....
Modeling (showing) your ability as a parent to accept accountability for yourself and actions. Learn to accept ownership for your behaviors and then your kid will have a road map for how it's done ❤️
Lack of respect, real or perceived, is probably the biggest factor for breakdown in a family household. Parents when frustrated tend to focus on the lack of respect and gratitude they receive from their children and will often miss the lack of respect they give to their children causing a boomerang effect that may look like defiance, arguing, and disobedience.
What is needed to know about respect is that it is a little like love. Everyone has their own definition of it and assumes the other person knows how to show it. It is important for families to discuss behaviors of respect specific to each person to help move the issue of respect from complaining, arguing, and hurt to understanding, acceptance, and peace. When people feel heard and valued, respect then becomes a TOOL for genuine CONNECTION.
Use this FREE resource in your family home to build respect, respectfully!
As parents, our daily focus tends to be on working, making sure bills are paid, food is on the table, house is cleaned, and our children have clothes on their back. We are doing the best of what we know while ensuring our children are safe and secure. Being GOOD PARENTS!
Mom and dad, I want you to know that you are a GOOD PARENT and also don't miss those moments to show love, attention, care, and nurturance in the midst of maintaining your families basic needs. Those are the MOMENTS your babies will remember. So, breathe, smile, and laugh.....there is no perfect parent just unconditionally love!
7 things every child needs to hear ❤️
Social media is nearly impossible for parents to avoid. Alarming stories of cyberbullying, suicides, and poor self-esteem following social media abuse can prompt any parent to forbid their child from social media usage.
Your feelings are valid, and while social media can have its reason for one to be leery, it can also have its benefits. Research has shown that social media has its way of connecting youth with their peers, provide support, and provide them an outlet to explore new and healthy identities.
View the slides to learn tips for helping you manage your child's social media usage.....
How stressful can it be to notice your child struggling with anger, worry, sadness, and disappointment and you don't understand why? It can be difficult! Parenting is already a task in its own, but dealing with a child with big emotions can increase the chances of parental depression, anxiety, and even problems in your work and home life.
How can you help your child balance out those big emotions? Through teaching them mindfulness (and you learning as well). Mindfulness can help a person, no matter the age, pay attention to their negative thoughts to shift their emotions and behaviors.
Print and/or screenshot this FREE workbook to teach your child the basics of mindfulness and help yourself as well to ease those stressful times. Remember, practice makes better!
Remember that ❤️

🚨Youthful Connections PLLC Presents: THE ABSENT PARENT Webinar🚨
📌Are you a single parent?
📌Do you find yourself feeling burnout because you are everything to your household?
📌Do you feel resentment towards the absent parent?
📌Do you feel your child would behave differently if they had both parents in their life?
Well, you are not alone! This is a personal topic for me, and I think it is something worth discussing since research has shown nearly 24 MILLION children in the US live in a SINGLE-PARENT household. If this is your home and you have been wondering:
📌How can I help my child?
📌How can I help myself?
Then you don't want to miss this FREE event, streaming LIVE on FB at on 10/26/2022 at 7pm. NO REGISTRATION required. This webinar will be interactive, educational, and an outlet for single parents to heard and understood! Share with everyone you know!!!
How many times have you said this to yourself, "I don't know why they act this way?"🤔Well, my dear friends, sometimes WE are the reason why our children behave a certain way.
Now, trust me, there is no condemnation in this statement. However, if we are truly honest with ourselves, we are able to see how our daily communication, showing of affection, and response to our children shows up in how they behave at home, school, and in the community with others.
While as parents, we typically always have the best intentions with their upbringing, as hard as it can be and sometimes, we are blinded by the fact that their behaviors are sometimes a reflection of how we are with them. With all that being said, your children are resilient and can always CHANGE, just like YOU. Awareness is central and being PURPOSEFUL is key, and remember you are NEVER alone with the healing of your FAMILY! ❤️
Sometimes it can feel difficult to get up out of your bed and want to feel productive😫. Life experiences can make it hard to pay attention to what is actually going well in your life. No matter how small or big, it is important to recognize that everyday and everything will be not be rainbows and gumdrops. However, what I can promise you is that there is something in your life RIGHT now that is going well.
When you find yourself wallowing in self-pity and hopelessness remember 9 times out of 10, there is always something in your life that you can be thankful for i.e:
🎯a job that pays
🎯your children
🎯shelter over your head.and likely so much more. Hone in on those things and be thankful. The rest will come when you shift your mindset and focus. Believe in yourself and where you can go! ❤️
..its been a long few weeks since I have been able to post content for you all, and I've missed it😫. September has been a hectic month for me, however while it was chaotic, I believe my mindset made it feel like a tornado 🌪.
In doing self reflection (which is so important for growth), I realized my worry increased when I was focused on what I didn't have, what I couldn't do, and how I was going to do everything. Which is what we normally do as a society, and if you are a single mother those thoughts typically increase. I find as a people we are so future focused, which is a factor for anxiety and depression. Hence, why it is so important to stop and smell the 🌹. Stop in the midst of your storm and focus on your blessings and what you have before you.
I've said it before and I am going to say it again, start your day with gratitude. Write it down so you can see how far you have come and all that sits before you. It can be hard, but I promise you when you are able to slow down, your mind is able to slow down and shift. Things run smoother then!❤️
