Mini Howard basks in the opulence he knows he so deserves in Rosenberg Castle in Copenhagen. He and the Honors students also took a bike trip to the Little Mermaid. However, try as he might, Mini Howard is just a little too short to reach the bike pedals. He's a little embarrassed. 🏰👑🦆✨

Offshore wind turbines and ornate fountains! Copenhagen, Denmark is an incredible place, and our students look like they're having a blast!

Mini Howard is quite happy he's safe in their hands and not in the water.

This weekend, our students learned about waterworks and took a bike ride around Amsterdam! Mini Howard's feet were a little too short to reach the peddles, so he caught a ride with Dr. J lol.

We also learned that Mini Howard is a glutton for Thai food! He says its much tastier than the worms he grew up eating.

Next stop: Copenhagen, Denmark!

More photos from the Honors Sustainability study abroad! First is the BREAME top rated building which features both inside and rooftop gardens as well as a rain-water collection system used in multiple different parts of the building. Students also listened to a presentation on the role of local government in green roofs and flood preparedness at the University of Utrecht.
Finally, a little fun as Mini Howard watches with envy as his cousins swim in a canal in Utrecht (Mini Howard is still in beginners level swimming classes). The Honors group also ate at a traditional Dutch restaurant where someone snuck a picture of Mini Howard pondering how he can steal Dr. J's apple desert. Mini Howard strongly believes little ducks can have apple pie.

Did you know that Mini Howard has a beautiful singing voice? He is truly multitalented.

He's also so thankful for the opportunity to participate in the UNF Choral Ensemble's concerts in Riga, Latvia and Tallinn, Estonia! He was able to see so many cool places like Elizabeth Palace and the Gal Singing Grounds. He even went on the ferry! (Mini Howard would also like to note that while he has been working on his swimming lessons, the ferry was much faster than the ducky paddle he's been learning.)

While he's happy to be home, Mini Howard is also hopeful he can go abroad again soon. Maybe... he can go with you??? 🥹

Have you ever wondered what tiny golden ducks do on the weekend? Well, this weekend, Mini Howard got to visit with two Honors alumni! He loved catching up with Katherine (Spring 2023 grad) and Mohamed (Fall 2023 grad)! It was nice that Dr. Chamberlain was there too... 😄🦆

Dr. J took Honors' own Mini Howard for his first-ever study abroad! Mini Howard loved getting to fly for the first time (he's a little duck, you see), meet other UNF students, see some beautiful sights around Helsinki, Finland, and sing with the UNF Choral Ensemble in Temppeliaukio Church (Rock Church).

We love an alumni photo! Alumni Kristy (2024) and Amy (2023) come to see their Honors Plaque Awards for the first time.

Honors Upper-Level Curriculum Drop-In Hours will be held May 20th 10am to noon over Zoom. The waiting room will be enabled, so please wait until you are called into the main meeting room. First come, first served.
