*Information* Day 2 of the multi-jurisdictional training event is again taking place on the old campus of MacMurray College and the grounds of the former AC Humko. This is training only and not an active situation

Our JPD cadets and Officer McNeely decided to "hang around" the Jacksonville Fire Department. They were taught rescue repelling and rescue safety.
*Now Hiring*** School Crossing Guard
School crossing guard position is a part time position at 20 hours per week at a rate of $14/hr for the remainder of the school year.
Applications can be picked up at the front desk of the Jacksonville Police Department.
Our sincere condolences go out to all of those affected by the tragic accident in Schuyler County.
Today the Jacksonville Police Department sends our condolences to the family of former retired Lieutenant Donald Seymour who served from January 9th 1967 until March 14th 1994 when he retired after 27 years.
Thank you to Routt Catholic High School for providing care kits for those individuals who are in need within our community. The kits contained hygiene products, snacks, and other items to help those individuals.

Help MYS raise awareness for National Runaway Prevention Month by sending our staff on “Cupcake Runs” across town to “cupcake” a business or your place of work! You can also “cupcake” an individual, like a friend, family member, etc.! You place the order & we’ll do the rest!
Proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the MYS building expansion, to increase programs and services, along with helping to raise awareness for National Runaway Prevention Month!
