First we have our *new* monthly book club with where we'll be discussing Bryan Washington's newest novel "Family Meal"—join us on Thursday, July 25th at 7pm at the Pride Community Center, located in Suite 200 inside the King Centre.
The following Tuesday, July 30th our "Books & Brews" book club will meet at 6:30pm and dive into Mira Grant's mermaid horror tale "Into the Drowning Deep" 🧜😈

Atlas Books, Johnson City Public Library, Tipton Gallery, and Langston Centre are thrilled to welcome Affrilachian poet and writer Frank X Walker to Johnson City on Monday, May 8th for two special readings to celebrate his new book A is For Affrilachia and his other published works.
The first event will take place at 4pm at the Johnson City Public Library featuring the children's book A is for Affrilachia. At 7pm, the Tipton Gallery will host a reading featuring Walker's previously published titles including Buffalo Dance: The Journey of York.
We're teaming up with Atlas Books for an author talk with award-winning poet Frank X Walker on Monday, May 8 at 4 p.m.!
🔹 Walker will talk about his new children's book, "A is for Affrilachia", which brings awareness to African American accomplishments in Appalachia.🔹
Atlas Books will have his book available to purchase at the event and Walker will sign copies of his work. ✍️
