The Moss House is ready to rock out and we want you to join us!

Explore rocks and minerals, learn how to identify the most common crystals, discover what minerals are UV light reactive, practice using the Moh's scale, and create an art project based on your favorite crystal.

The Moss House blends Scandinavian national preschool curriculum and the methodology of Forest Schools to bring a unique learning experience to Broome County. They offer preschool, guided programs for elementary and up, free wild play, programs for families, and more!

Join us for a 90 minute beginner workshop of hand percussion music-making in the moment.

Our Instructor, Micah Neiss, will conduct the Drum Circle, guiding the group in rhythm based activities.

Together, we'll create a group rhythm and jam to the beats of a variety of beautiful percussion instruments.

We're excited to showcase our masterpiece at the end of the workshop.

Let’s get creative, spreading positive vibes and energy through the use of beautiful sound of hand percussion instruments!

Each participant will be provided an instrument to use for the workshop (Djembe and/or other hand held percussion instruments).

In celebration of National Engineers Week from Feb. 19-25, Watson College will host our annual Community Day event for children and their families. These fun, hands-on STEM activities are free and open to all ages! This is a wonderful program! Must pre-register.

Save the date! BATTLE OF THE BOOKS - April 23, 2023

Battle of the Books is a FREE voluntary reading incentive program for students in grades 3-6. The purpose is simply to encourage students to read great books and have fun with their peers (while adding in a little friendly competition).

The Battle of the Books will be a day-long “bowl style” competition. Children will be asked questions from the required books in Family Feud style rounds. There will be prizes for the winning teams and awards for all participants. The competition will be held on Sunday, April 23.

Local elementary schools have a few half days for parent teacher conferences. We thought this would:
A - be helpful for our local families, especially those parents that would be working
B - a great opportunity to test run our new business, catering to a variety of extracurricular activities for our local children.

We've teamed up with some local businesses to offer at least two classes during each camp:

Each camp will include the classes with our local professionals, snacks, games, organized fun time as well as time to relax and meet new friends.
