Echo Ranch Bible Camp

Echo Ranch exists to echo God's glory by building the body of Christ through Christian camping in partnership with the local church.

Echo Ranch is located 40 miles north of downtown Juneau, Alaska. During the spring/fall we host retreat groups and in the summer a variety of camping programs. Our staff are volunteers through Avant Ministries. Our message is that God loves you and sent his son to die for your sins, to all who believe he offers a relationship with God that will last for eternity.

We had back to back retreats last week with over a hundred guests for each! We love retreat season because we get to see new families enjoy camp and reconnect with friends of camp.

Retreaters, what’s your favorite part of being at camp for the weekend? 🐴🌯🥾

ERBC Echoes - August As the month of August begins, so do a lot of transitions! For some, it may be that the summer months and vacations are coming to a close as we head into another fall season. The Girl Scouts are here for an awesome weekend!

08/14/2024

Our summer staff are now home after their summer of serving the Lord here at camp. All summer long, they were at the forefront of the ministry, hearing the campers stories, praying for them, and sharing the gospel. Many of the summer staff who came to serve on the maintenance team, horse wrangling team, or kitchen crew jumped into counseling so that more youth can come to camp. God provided an amazing group of summer staff to join us this summer and we are sad to see them go.

A lot of them are either going back to school, jobs, or figuring out what’s next. The transition back to home life or school life can be challenging and our staff is praying that they continue to transition well and to rely on the Lord in all that they do.

Will you join us in praying for them?

Hey Senior High campers (from Senior High 1 or 2)! We already miss you! We're having one last hangout with our summer staff at Auke Rec next week and we're inviting you out to come see them one more time before they head home.

We'll be at Raven shelter from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, but you can come and go as you please. Come have some s'mores, play some games, and hang out with us to cap off our summer of camp!

Our campers know how to play in the rain! But we expected that from these awesome Southeast Alaska kids.

We had a great day at out first day of day camp in Haines!! We're looking forward to four more great days together. If your child missed today, it's not too late to join us for the rest of the week! You can register each morning at the Pool in town, or at camp.

Here are a few more details about registration, dropoff, and pickup:

- We offer transportation to and from camp, meeting at the pool. If you would like to take advantage of this, dropoff will be at the pool from 8:30-8:55am in the mornings, and pickup will be 3:10-3:20pm at the pool in the afternoons. Alternatively, you can drop off your camper at Echo Ranch Haines from 9:00-9:15am and/or pick them up from 3:00-3:15pm.

- The cost is $30 per day, or a discounted total of $120 if you would like to sign your camper up for all five days. (There were some misprinted flyers distributed earlier that said the cost was $20 per day, but it is actually $30. Apologies for the confusion!)

- We will provide lunch each day as well as a morning and afternoon snack, and on Friday campers will receive camp t-shirts and devotionals to take home. (If your child cannot attend on Friday but you would still like to receive these, please let us know and we can arrange that.)

Yesterday was the start of a fun-filled Maverick week with our middle school campers! Their counselors are excited to hang out with them and get to know them this week as we do games, eat yummy food, and participate in chapel!

Will you join us in praying for our counselors this week as they get to know their campers and share the gospel with them?

We have 115 campers this week and they’ve been having a blast! Along with horses, two of the most beloved places at camp by our Bronco campers is the trading post and the zip line!

Back from Senior High camp and wondering how to keep up the spiritual growth you experienced? We have a page of resources on our website to help you keep pursuing God throughout the year - because like we say all the time, camp is definitely not the only place God is at work, and a relationship with Him takes investment year-round.

Go to echoranch.org/spiritualresources to find a list of churches and youth groups around southeast Alaska you can get plugged into, resources to help you read your Bible, reliable sources to find answers to tough questions, and more! We hope these resources help you take the steps you need to keep your faith thriving all year long.

06/06/2024

Hey parents of Senior High 1 campers! Just a reminder that at pickup on Saturday, we will be doing authorized pickups, meaning we will be REQUIRING IDs, so make sure you bring yours!

Pickup is from noon to 12:30pm at Echo Cove (where dropoff was). We'll see you there - after we enjoy a couple more fun-filled days of camp!

This week for Senior High Camp the stakes are high for our week long competition! Each cabin is tasked with caring for a watermelon and if left unattended… another cabin has the opportunity to smash it!

Currently only one watermelon has been smashed but there’s still plenty of time for more chaos to occur.
