Project Playground at Twin Lakes
Our community built/contractor built playground is open again.. come check it out for yourself! Thanks to everyone that helped in every way imaginable!
community fundraised, and built playground...we asked what the kids wanted and provided them the best playground around. Fundraised by volunteers, and built by volunteers.
We will be having a painting party for some of the art in the playground mid June. Pls check back for more info. If you painted something in the mining maze or something that needs some work pls come help.

The large slides in Project Playground at Twin Lakes Park are closed until further notice due to contamination. A can of bear spray was found nearby and at least two individuals required medical treatment as a result of this vandalism. Park Maintenance staff are attempting to clean the slides, which will take at least a week. Anyone with information about this incident should contact the Juneau Police Department at 907-586-0600.
So there’s been an incident where someone sprayed bear spray in one of the ice castle slides. CBJ P&R has power washed the entire playground with dawn and water and wiped down the inside of the ice castle slides with dawn and water 3 times. Now those slides are closed indefinitely because a couple kids have gone to the ER. If you see something say something pls.
