⭐️ IVFMD has been recognized as one of America’s Best Fertility Clinics in 2024! ⭐️

America’s Best Fertility Clinics 2024 ranking lists the top 100 fertility clinics as defined by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). Over 3,000 reproductive endocrinologists, infertility specialists, obstetricians/gynecologists working in and referring patients to fertility clinics, and other medical professionals.

The evaluation is based on four pillars:

⭐️ Nationwide Online Survey: During the survey period from January to February 2024, Newsweek and Statista invited reproductive endocrinologists, infertility specialists, obstetricians/gynecologists working in and referring patients to fertility clinics, as well as other medical professionals (e.g., registered nurses, laboratory assistants) and fertility clinic administrators/managers working in fertility clinics to participate in the survey.

⭐️ Quality Metrics: Assisted Reproductive Technology metrics with a focus on indicators relevant to fertility clinics published by CDC were analyzed.

⭐️ Accreditation Data: Provided by The Joint Commission (JCI)(2), College of American Pathologists (CAP)(3), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)(4), American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM)(5).

⭐️ Patient Satisfaction: Data based on Google reviews was included.

We feel truly honored for this recognition and are proud of your team for helping us achieve this!! ❤️

“4/4/23... transfer day.

Our journey is something I wasn’t sure I would ever share. But as time goes on, I feel more and more of a tug to share in hopes it reaches someone out there who is in the season I was in, and know they are not alone. And God’s got you.

1 year ago today, we took this little frozen embryo out of the freezer and transferred to me with every fiber in our being hoping and praying this would be the time we got to see a baby earthside. It felt different this time-there was such a peace and calm presence and I know that was Jesus walking with me. It had been years of heartbreak leading up to this point. But we still believed God is still in the business of miracles and he led us to this process for a reason. After the procedure, I talked to my cousin who also walked down this path and filled her in on how it went. It was only then we realized, I transferred this little miracle on the anniversary or our grandmothers passing. I fully believe Mimi Jane got to meet her great-grandchild and gave him a kiss from heaven on the way down.

1 year later, here we are sitting here with the most perfect little boy. Truly a miracle in every sense of the word. I pray he grows up to know how special he is and how loved and wanted he was. It’s hard to believe just a year ago, something so small changed our entire world so big. Happy transfer-anniversary, Rhett! I can’t imagine life without you!

For those of you walking through fertility struggles, know that I see you, I’m praying for you, and I’m always here to talk it out with you.”

Happy Transeferversary to this sweet baby! Thank you to this mama for being so brave and sharing your story! ❤️🙏 Congratulations on your beautiful family!

⭐️ Happy to Dr. Kimberly Thompson ⭐️

About her:

Serving IVFMD’s patients since 1994, she loves working closely with her patients to support them through the challenges of fertility treatment. Her approach is to first define what is the factor hindering fertility, on her own words

Dr. Thompson is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the subspecialty of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Thompson is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI), and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

⭐️ Happy to Dr. Katherine L. Palmerola ⭐️

She says:

“I am an Ivy-league trained, double board-certified OBGYN and REI specialist. My special interests include preimplantation genetic testing, operative hysteroscopy, and third-party reproduction (donor egg, donor s***m, gestational carrier). In fact, my brother was conceived through IVF with the assistance of a gestational carrier in the early 1990’s—a formative event that contributed to my decision to become an Infertility Specialist!

I believe in evidenced-based medicine, but also tailoring treatment to the unique aspects of every patient. There is no one-size-fits-all and I pride myself on developing patient-specific care plans. Additionally, I focus on optimizing your “fertility lifestyle”—diet, exercise, stress-reduction, sleep, eliminating reproductive toxins—to maximize your natural fertility and treatment success.

Born and raised in Philadelphia and New York, I am excited to serve the South Florida community and see both English and Spanish-speaking patients. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my three active sons, exercising, snowboarding, and travelling the world with my family.”

⭐️ Happy to Dr. Jennifer Nichols ⭐️

About her:

“I am a board-certified reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist who has cared for patients for over 13 years. I take pride in giving patients the best overall care beginning with the new patient visit, through individualized fertility treatments plans.

I am dedicated to ensuring each patient is educated about the process and receives personalized care. My focused approach is apparent as soon as patients walk through the door, and they know that my entire team has their best interest as the primary goal.

I am a busy mother of three boys. Along the way to building my own family, I experienced pregnancy losses and diminished ovarian reserve. I truly believe that my journey furthered my understanding and commitment to providing exceptional care to my patients.”

⭐️ Happy to Dr. Jenna McCarthy ⭐️

She says:

“I am double board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility and in Obstetrics & Gynecology, having trained at one of the top 5 programs in the US (Go Blue!). I see patients with any type of fertility concern, including fertility preservation, PCOS, decreased ovarian reserve, fibroids, endometriosis, and male factor. I particularly enjoy caring for single parents by choice and all members of the LGBTQ+ community.

I understand the heartache and frustration that accompany infertility and strive to provide my patients not only with up-to-date, expert medical advice, but also with the compassion and support that helps make the road a little easier for them. From their very first visit, I work closely with my patients to identify the cause of their fertility issues and craft a treatment plan that meets their individual needs.

My mantra is to hold the vision and trust the process. Infertility treatment isn’t easy, and sometimes it takes longer than we would like, but I am there with my patients every step of the way—for the tears and the celebrations—because to me, they aren’t just patients, they become family.”

Dr. E founded IVFMD in 1991 and has been practicing out of the South Miami location ever since!

“It all started with Grand Rounds at my Alma Mater in 1979, with Dr Robert Edwards presenting his groundbreaking first IVF success: the creation of an embryo resulting in the birth of Louise Brown.

My fascination with assisted reproductive technology (ART) has never stopped, and ultimately led me to found IVFMD in 1991.

Fortunate to have met Louise Brown when she celebrated her 40th birthday at ASRM in 2018, I feel inspired to provide the highest quality clinical care along the ever-expanding spectrum of options available today.

“I am a double board-certified physician in both OBGYN and REI. As a fertility specialist, I’m committed to a patient-centered approach to all aspects of fertility and reproduction. I value cultivating relationships with patients to achieve the best possible outcomes. I firmly believe patient
care should be grounded in education. I pride myself on giving my patients ample time to discuss, create, and execute treatment plans that are individualized for each couple. ⭐️ Today, we kick off ! Each day, we will highlight two incredible physicians who work tirelessly to help our patients' baby dreams come true!

Let’s start with Dr. Connie Alford! She practices out of our Naples location. 📍

About her:

“I am double board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. My
training at the National Institutes of Health has given me a
solid background to practice evidence-based medicine and
stay current with the latest advances in our field. This allows
me to offer the best and most up-to-date care tailored
specifically to each patient.

I enjoy helping create families. I try to help all fertility issues
including ovulation disorders, male factor issues, ovarian
reserve issues, genetic issues, and anatomical issues (tubal
factor or uterine problems). Patients who need donor s***m,
eggs, or embryos also have success here. No matter the
reason, I encourage and offer support to optimize the
patient’s body to be ready to accept a pregnancy!

Because I needed fertility treatment to have my own
children, I empathize with patients who also need treatment.
I have felt the stress of infertility and I know the awesome
joy and relief when the treatment finally works! Children are
a blessing and a miracle. I truly enjoy what I do every day.”

🥦 What you put into your body plays a huge role in the success of your fertility treatments.

🎗️Getting pregnant with endometriosis is possible, though it may not come easily.

Dr. Ellen Wood tells us: “Up to half of the women with endometriosis will have trouble getting pregnant.

The likelihood of having fertility problems depends on your age, your partner’s fertility, and how severe the endometriosis is.

For those that do struggle to conceive, surgery or fertility treatments like IVF may help.

If you have endometriosis🎗, you might be advised to try conceiving naturally for six months if you are < 35 y/o.

If you don’t conceive within this time frame, you should speak with a fertility specialist.

If you are > 35 y/o see a fertility doctor ASAP.

Endometriosis can increase your risk of pregnancy loss, but more so in women experiencing endometriosis-related infertility.

A 2017 study ✍️ looked at 270 women with or without endometriosis and found that the miscarriage rate for women with endometriosis was around 35%, compared to 22% for those without the disease (a 60% difference).

Do not ignore the symptoms; see your health care provider and get checked!”

If you are ready to see a fertility specialist for an evaluation, we are here to help! 💛
