Hello All:
I just want to let you know that I received this honor. All thanks to God!
Much love
Alice
Dear Pastor Alice Piggee-Wallack:
I am delighted to let you know that you have been selected to be recognized for your name to be placed on the Monument To Freedom, Justice & Courage wall. The Monument honors those who have made significant contributions since the Civil Rights Movement in Jackson County. Jackson County community members were encouraged to submit the names and backgrounds of those they believed advanced people of color toward the freedom, justice & equality we currently take advantage of today.
The Freedom Wall Commission recognizes people whose everyday actions continue to advance our communities. This elates me to bring our community together to celebrate your recognition and other honorees who will be present at this event.

God Bless Google, for this is how one of our Clients found True Light Family Resource Center.
In her own words, this lady said: “ True Light has helped me find myself again and become the best version of myself mentally, spiritually, professionally and emotionally…..Through the darkness I persevered and found light again”.
This beautiful soul has blossomed and was able to leave Freedom House and once again take her rightful place in the community with her own housing and job.
The blessing of her testimony is a gift to all of us, especially for those women experiencing no home and much despair!
As it is written to “ Give Thanks in All Things” ( 1 Thessalonians 5:18 ) Let’s all take a moment to give MIGHTY Thanks to True Light, Freedom House and Emancipation Station the staff who so willingly serves with great love and especially to this young woman who has found hope to THRIVE in her life! And of course, Thanks to Google!

Here is a testimonial from one woman we serve, "True Light has helped me find myself again, and become the best version of myself mentally, spiritually, professionally, and emotionally. I feel that through such dark times I was able to rise to the occasion and not let my circumstances define me. I was able to know who I truly am and learn about how I can impact my community. I was able to apply for Freedom House Transitional Living program which helped me gain stability and happiness again. Through the darkness I persevered and found light again.” Consider donating today! https://truelightfrc.kindful.com/

Our clients enjoyed celebrating International Women's Day this past Friday. Thanks to our friend Maxine for hosting.
Recently, True Light's founder and director, Pastor Alice Piggee-Wallack, met a warm hostess at a local restaurant who informed the pastor that the support she had received from True Light and their staff helped her secure that job. We frequently see people who have utilized our services either thriving in the city or returning to True Light to volunteer or provide donations. These full-circle moments drive our motivation for this work. Learn more about True Light: truelightfrc.org
