Congratulations Genesis Ventura Amaro! Gen received a Milken Teacher Leader award yesterday because she is an amazing student teacher who makes an impact on students every day. She is one of only thirteen recipients in the state of Missouri and is now forever a member of an exclusive network of future teacher leaders. A homegrown graduate of Lincoln College Preparatory Academy, Mr. Neal was most recently the principal at Central Middle School, where he worked passionately to impact the lives of young students. He's a firm believer in addressing lack of quality education and opportunities for students in urban neighborhoods.

Mr. Neal has bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and enjoys growing leadership with the educators he serves. We are excited to see Mr. Neal's passion continue to grow and impact those around him!

Minimum Qualifications:
✨Bachelor's degree in Education or related field and at least 2 years of experience working in PK-12 or higher education.

Congratulations to the IUE’s Kyndal Bowie for being named Teacher of the Month at her elementary school in Kansas City Public Schools!

When the opportunity arose mid-year to step into a 2nd Grade teaching position, student teacher Kyndal Bowie stepped up! Kyndal has this to say:

"Two things that will help you as a teaching professional: 1) BE YOURSELF by bringing your own personality into the classroom and remembering your WHY at all times.
2) Through these tough times, never be too proud to ASK for help and ADVOCATE for yourself.

We all need help sometimes and remember you're not in this profession alone! No one said teaching would be easy, but the outcome of it all is well worth it!"
