I know from personal experience that Father's Day can bring up some pretty strong emotions for single moms and their children. While I do not negate the role of a good father, I do choose to also recognize the single moms who, for whatever reason, are parenting on their own. May you always know that you are loved and appreciated. You are doing a great job, mama!
If you do not agree with me recognizing single moms for Father's Day, please just move on.

Today I get to celebrate my work as an IBCLC! I am always happy to support breastfeeding families, and I'm very blessed to be able to do the work that I love. To all my friends and colleagues: !!! 👩🏻‍⚕️❤️🤱🏻

What is an IBCLC?
An IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) is a healthcare professional who specializes in the clinical management of breastfeeding, providing expert lactation care. IBCLCs function and contribute as members of the maternal-child health team.

Between Valentine’s Day, the Super Bowl, and the Chiefs victory parade today here in KC (and the *celebrations* that accompany such events 😉), I do believe this November will be quite the busy month! And when you need support, I'll be here for you!

Breastfeeding mamas--did you know that it's ok to have an alcoholic drink and still breastfeed? There are a lot of myths out there, and one of them is that you need to "pump and dump" your if you have even one drink. False! Your breastmilk is not tainted, and you'd be wasting the valuable that you work so hard to make for your kiddo(s). So go ahead and have a glass of bubbly this evening! Be safe and have a happy start to 2023!
