In memory of Maggie Smith.
Puffs was able to pay tribute to one of our fallen wizards at last night’s show. The audience raised their wands alongside the Puffs to commemorate Maggie Smith. RIP Professor McG 🩵

Dear Lakeside Players members:
Please join us on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024 for our annual Membership Meeting. The meeting will begin at 5:30p.m. at the Rhode Center for the Arts, located at 514 56th Street, Kenosha, Wisconsin.
During the meeting you will be able to renew your membership for the 2024-2025 season or visit our website to renew today (rhodecenter.org)!
The “main” dinner dish will be provided, but we ask that members bring a dish to pass. Members whose last name begins with A-N are asked to bring a savory dish (salad, appetizer, etc.). Members whose last name begins with O-Z are asked to bring a sweet dish (desserts, cookies, etc.).
Our Membership Meeting will also address the upcoming season, the presentation of our Volunteer of the Year Awards, and other exciting things happening at the Rhode Center for the Arts during this new season.
Please bring others who might be interesting in getting involved and join with you to our meeting. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing our exciting season ahead.

the Rhode Opera House
Since 1891, the Rhode Opera House has been dedicated to bringing ground-breaking theatre and live performance to Downtown Kenosha.
In the 1800's and early 1900's, the Rhode Opera House was a central hub of the Midwest for traveling repertory companies, vaudeville acts, plays, operas, and lectures.
The Rhode Opera House was actually one of the first theaters to show moving pictures right at the turn of the twentieth century.
In 1926, motion pictures exploded, and the Rhode Opera House was converted into the Gateway Theatre, at the time, a modern movie palace.
