Today was youth concert day! Thank you to everyone who supports this event for our community’s 5th graders. Every year the KSO plays selections from the season’s concerts, as well as a fun contemporary piece for Kenosha Unified School District students. These youth concerts are vital to our mission as an orchestra and we love getting to play for the kids!

Congratulations to our Barbara Cannon Concerto Competition winner Rebecca DeBoer! Rebecca got to play her winning concerto with the KSO for KUSD students. Her parents, Jessica and Todd, accompanied her in the orchestra!

The concert will feature classics from Star Wars and other popular movies. Help us celebrate the cultural phenomenon of Star Wars as we perform the iconic music from Phantom Menace and the Star Wars Suite for Orchestra.

Additionally, we will perform other favorites from popular movies such as Amadeus, Batman, Schindler's List, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and others. Offering a mix of moods from exotic to classic, this performance promises to excite and inspire everyone!

We are excited to announce our virtual talent show! On Saturday, February 24th we will be posting submissions throughout the “show” from 7-9pm. At the end of the night, we’ll release a voting link where you’ll get to vote for your favorite contestant! The public vote winner and KSO’s choice winner will be announced on Sunday the 25th. Both winners will win free tickets to our May concert!
